So blessed to have had Bobby Hatfield in the world and to have his wonderful voice in song recorded to listen to over and over and over. Every song he sang was magical and beautiful.🥰

Has a lovely swing to it ... thought only Elvis could deliver ...but oooh just discovered this 2021 and ooh ... how he must be serenading those angels he’s now with ... 🥰🥰🥰
Yes hyacinth, bobby a much blessed man, with such a beautiful voice. Listen to any of his songs that were done solo. Any song that he would do, so effortlessly. He is dearly missed, but his 🎶 lives on.
Another amazing song by the Master TENOR singer. Most likely it will take generations, if ever, that there will come another. Bobby Hatfield - you will never be forgotten. R.I.P.
There will never be another Bobby. Not ever. God broke the mold. He reminds of the Karen Carpenter song, "Close To You," The angels "sprinkled moondust in his hair, and golden starlight in his eyes of blue."
@@knmonlinemediaYes, aside from singing in the school choir he never had a vocal coach or other voice training. He sang along with music that moved his soul. An extremely rare, natural talent. He is adored and missed by millions the world over. 🌹 🎵😢
As long as we have You Tube, we always have the privilege of listening and finding Bobby Hatfield singing. His incredible voice always gives me goosebumps. I heard this song preformed by other artists, but not one comes close of sounding like him.
Oh this was so beautiful, I love everything he sings. He had a tremendous tenor/counter tenor voice and such control of the runs and a beautiful vibrato.
I was not even a teen the first time I heard Bobby but I had the same reaction then as I do now! I get goose bumps and my stomach just clinches up in a big knot. And now my heart cries because he is gone.
I also remember the day he passed like a feeling when Buddy Holly left this ol world what will happen to Music well we know how that turned out Always good to think of what else anyway Thanks for the Great Post Absolutely Amazing and sharing your heartfelt comments ol couple way down in TX coming up on 52yrs !

When i found oír about his Lessing i was stunned, heartbroken and mad at life being so precious and taken away too soon. He didn't need gimmick and glitter because his voice said it all.
The song was originally written by Artie Glenn. Per Wikipedia: Background According to Artie Glenn's youngest son, Larry, the song was inspired by a personal experience his father had, and the chapel in the title was the Loving Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas. By this account, Artie Glenn had suffered a serious back problem, and while in hospital, he bargained with God that he would become a better person if God helped him recover. He recuperated from a successful spinal surgery, and when he was released from hospital, he went to pray at the nearest chapel he could find. While in the chapel, he started shedding tears of joy, which was witnessed by the pastor. The inspiration for the song then came to him, by the time he was back home, he had the basic tune and the chorus, and that evening he finished the rest of the song."
How very special. A song of encouragement and faith. I’ve heard the song, but today really listened to the words. Bobby Hatfield did this song justice by not overdoing it. No reason to “over sing”, the words are enough.
@Abby Cantone - you totally “got” it. I’ve been trying to work out why this version is so special and you’re right - he doesn’t over sing it at all. A song as great as this doesn’t need any embellishment. Plus, that key change towards the end - just perfect.
Bobby Hatfield's songs have his eternal signature , his vocals are unlike any other i can think of . Of course Unchained Melody will forever be his song , many tried to imitate Bobby with nice renditions but.........
If you don't have this CD "The Other Brother" it's a good one to have. He sings from his heart & soul. Two of the songs touched me because it was like they were personal. The song "Brothers" is a song about Bill & him (he mentions blue eyed soul) and how the lime light can be hard. "Rock N Roll Woman" is as if he's talking to his wife. He'd rather be home with her/family then flying around the globe, staying 1 nite in a hotel & then off again. Kinda like Bill said in his book...Bobby loved to sing/perform but really preferred locally then doing the global thing to promote the Righteous Brothers but he did it. Props to this amazing duo singing together or on their solos. Still love their music I think more today than ever.
@@janetgallo5720 Bill didn't sugar coat their relationship/differences & not about himself either in his book (and he didn't go deep into a lot of things in both of their lives as it was his view of his life) but you can also tell he will always love, miss & cherish Bobby. There wouldn't have been such a dynamite duo without both of them that has stood the test of time.
