35:50 brewmaster DOES have group defensive values. You forgot to mention that monks have group avoidance aura and healing taken aura. So monks in general now have 3 raid buffs (4 if you talent into movement speed aura if that's even worth mentioning^^)

Maybe! There's a good shot that once prog has concluded, BDK takes a big jump up in usage rate. It's not really something we considered in this, because it won't be relevant to prog, but hey, maybe we do a Farm Tier List? They're the frontrunner there, for sure! =)
Hey Llarold, appreciating the raid mechanics preview with the bosses footage, that's helpful to prepare the next raid! I don't really agree with some of the insights about balance: For protection paladins i think a lot of what you said has to be nuanced: first of all prot paladin only really does competitve damage when you take avenging wrath might instead of sentinel, and with that prot paladin becomes a really poor tank survivability wise. So you're in that awkward situation where you need to pick beetween doing good damage and being an actual tank, on hard bosses on progress only the second option is reasonnable. On top of that while looking good on paper, realistically the new tier set will lead to awkward situations and wasted damage(and the loss of the current set actually hurts ST damage a lot), so i really wouldn't be too optimistic about prot pala's damage in an actual progression scenario. You also said the utility is unmatched, but i didn't see many example of bop/spellward/bubble cheese in the raid other than the larodar charge in your video, which is in my opinion the main reason prot paladin shined so much in aberrus where pretty much every relevant boss got a prot pala mechanic. I think the spec got really polarizing: it's the best when the kit shines and it's really mediocre when it doesn't. Overall i think prot paladin is a solid choice but is often overrated(throwback to sepulcher not so much "S tier" prot paladin), and the baseline spec is quite weak tankiness wise, it already started to show this season in M+ with prot paladins completly disappearing in high keys despite the utility. Another problem is the spec doesn't get much from gear, you already have 100% uptime on sotr with current level of haste and mastery has heavy drs. As much as i love prot warrior i don't think it's a reasonable choice for early progression raiding, playing a prot warrior on an heavy dot fight like experiments or zskarn last tier is complete griefing, and a few bosses in the raid seem to have similar tank mechanics. I've heard most top guilds plan on going dk/paladin, probably a few mix and match of brew, i have to say i'm more in the dk/brew believers camp this time around but only time will tell.
To be fair, this only matters if you raid on Mythic. Anything lower, all tanks survive if they push their buttons semi properly and have half decent gear. Tank damage only really matters if it's so low the other tank pulls aggro without taunting XD.
They've used mediocre tanks before to make sure they have all the raid buffs, they care more about utility and dps classes than they do about tanks being "tanky'" so they tend to use the tank spots to fill in the missing raid buffs (ww looking dawgshit for example so they might play brew/pally instead of dk/pally)
Bingo. This is part of why VDH has only been used once in a WF kill. Limit ran VDH/Warrior in Castle Nathria because Vengeance DH was insane for once, Havoc sucked, Prot Warrior was okay, and Arms/Fury suuuuuuuuuuuuuucked.
@@WoWatNight As a warrior main, Who raided castle nathria on all difficulties. It was one of the most fun raids ever put in the game. But Being at the bottom of the meter in all content was soul crushing. Shadowlands was the worst iteration of the class in terms of fun gameplay aswell.

That's fair, and the healing bonus is pretty good! The Avoidance bonus pretty small, but even small bonuses count!
