Nice one! RO has been my overall quick-reach & signature scent ever since it first came out, mostly because it is my wife's favorite BY FAR. I mean nothing even comes close for her and I have over 120 bottles. But I try not to talk it up too much because I don't want it to become too popular. :)
Royal Oud was my gateway into oud fragrances and I love it. However, I quickly moved into the deep, dark, dank, barnyard oud scents so I don't reach for this one too much these day...but it's great for formal wear. Enjoyed.

Nice collab guys. This is one frag I regretted not buying when I had the chance of snagging this at a very very good price from a fellow fraghead. I'm not an oud fan but when I tested this,it was nice and not too strong nor headache inducing. As SPC indicated,the oud is not so loud to a point that it is very faint in this frag. I hesitated and when I decided to get it the following day,it was already sold. To this day,I still feel bad about passing on this one when I had the chance to get it at a very very good price. I won't hesitate next time for sure.

unbeatable intro 😂 and yes this is a better creed. ..goes hand in hand with aventus and GIT top3. next 3 will be original santal, millesime imperial and spice & wood. ..its a great house. ..followed by bois du Portugal, silver mountain water, virgin island water, original vetiver, himalaya, jardin d'amalfi, royal mayfair man incredible how much great scents they have. didn't try the viking yet but i'm pretty sure it's unique

That price is ridiculous i think i would rather get 3 or 4 designer scents instead. I dont have any experience with oud really apart from the original vintage YSL M7 which i luckily managed to get 2 100ml bottles(1 unopened) from an aucton site here in Japan from someone who didn't know what he had.
Hate to say it but Royal oud was one of the few decants that I resold soon after buying it. The Cedar was too prominent for too long for me and the drydown wasn't worth the wait. Just not my style but still a great video, as usual.
Creed Royal Oud smells just like Paul Sebastian Cologne, afragrane I purchased 40 years ago and can now be had VERY cheaply. The Emporer has no clothes.

Same as Parfums de Marly have their top line, called Royal Essence. Differentiating between their very best highest quality special offerings.

I have never smelled it, but at $500, I wouldn't buy any fragrance. I can buy 3 niches or more than 5 designer with that. As a fragrance collector, I would much rather get 5 good than 1 great. Maybe those who want a signature scent or a few good ones...
