I personally prefer their last two albums. They are just so fucking creative and the sound is uniqe. I mean they were a good Deatcore band but they turned into their own genre. Just the same way as Linkin Park did with "A Thousand Suns". Sure most of the people who prefer heavy shit just like the first two albums. But if you prefer very creative and unique music then you gonna love "Sempiternal" and "That's The Spirit". I still like all of their stuff :)

Or maybe at the time, a lot of kids still listened to metal & would go to metal concerts but these days kids don't listen to it anymore; only the metal elitists / enthusiasts / snobs.

I think this era of bmth live was something special. Sounds like shit, but there's unbridled fuckin energy and pushing shit with charisma to make it work. It has this punky IDGAF attitude that metalcore lost, most everything sounds "professional" nowadays. This still has the hardcore kind of energy that early metalcore acts had, and it is actually FUN ykwim?
Wacken is quite the metal elitist festival and so BMTH are mostly considered to be posers or something like that. I thought they really gave it a good shot, but most Wacken visitors are pretty close minded and live in their own tiny metalhead bubble unfortunately.

Ich kann verstehen, dass die, die auf "härtere" Musik stehen, ihre ersten beiden Alben lieben und das neue Zeug eher weniger(ich bin übrings Fan aller ihrer Alben :)). Objektiv betrachtet kann man Sempiternal und That's The Spirit einfach nicht als "schlecht" bezeichnet, da sie von der Kreativität her mindestens aufm gleichen Level sind, wie ihre Vorgänger. Wenn nicht sogar noch höher.
