I changed my cord I absolutely love the OG2.0. You can find different knots to use on RUclips. My wallet is as much a decoration as someplace to put my cards and cash.
I was very reluctant to change up wallets to a minimalist style. (I have used a bi-fold for my entire life) I looked at the ridge wallet and a few other models before purchasing. I have been using the OG 2.0 for a while now and this wallet is definitely worth its weight in gold!
I’m a Trayvax contest winner, so have this wallet, the Contour, and the Armored Summit. I had purchased the Ascent prior. I rotate them, but call me crazy, I find myself going back to this Original 2.0 (in OD Green) time and time again. It’s so basic, but covers all functions really well...and feels solid. Yeah, adjusting the paracord for expansion is not a quick feat, but once set you’re good to go. I carry cash and the Original clip flexes enough to accept change well above capacity. So it’s a winner in my book...no pun intended.
I've had this wallet for over a year. Out of three wallets I carry this one gets the most pocket time. My favorite wallet is a Sin City leather wallet. On work days I use the trayvax. OG 2.0. due to having to go through security check points. Easy to clean just throw it in the dishwasher
Really starting to dig this wallet. I may just replace my cheapie ridge knockoff. I personally started using the clip to just clip it on to my belt at the small of my back, just to minimize the stuff in my pockets. I spent half my day at work in a seat, so back pockets are a no go. Front pocket carry is fine, but I've got too much other stuff going on, plus accessibility can be an issue. Love simplicity and ingenuity of this design, and the options it opens up. Also worth noting that since you could easily change out the paracord, with whatever length you'd want, the carrying capacity for cars is basically functionally limitless.
Completely agree, a great wallet. I backed the Kickstarter and got the G10. Mainly use it for work as I have my card pass for opening doors and keep it on top of the wallet secured by the clasp. Works perfect. Reasonably priced too. I own most of Trayvax's wallets, they're great and I know you're a Contour fan, as am I.
I have this exact wallet and always go back to it for my EDC. What sold me on it was the customization with the Paracord. I simply swapped out mine with some orange and tied some simple snake knots on the end. However, I've seen some with multiple colors, different types of knots, and even a skull bead or a baseball bead. Get creative with the combinations. Edit: Trayvax is doing a daily giveaway on their page through the end of the year. Prize package come with this wallet, a Contour, a cinch belt, Armored Summit and a leather keychain. I won about a month ago, but am still waiting since Washington forced them to shut down operations for a couple weeks.

Ive been using the Axis wallet for over 3 months now and love it but today i started using the OG2.0 and love it as well. Love your reviews, but i hope i can decide on one wallet. No more fat butt pocket wallets! Thanks for your detailed reviews!
I love the style of that wallet! The quality of the metal and the Paracord look great, and I also agree with you about the finger grip feature. That OG 2.0 looks like it will just look better with age, with each scratch and scuff marks adding to it's character.
Im thinking of getting the 2.0 and cutting a id window larger in the aluminum face. to the fullest possible dims without weakening it too much. Then ill sand it smooth
Again another great review! Very practical wallet especially for people who need extra capacity for cards (and it does hold that many cards). I still use it and it does hold more than 5 bills comfortably.
I wanted to buy it but couldnt find it on amazon so went with a cheaper version. pretty awesome design didnt know you could slot a ID card in the front. I need it for the ring hole. Just lost a wallet with 3 cards and all 3 got used till they were blocked leaving me with no money for a day. so one new card with be saved to gpay and i will carry 1 backup and drivers licence in this with a nice chain. really nice design and look and something that will be very hard to break or lose. thanks for the video
Curious, Why would you look at Amazon for a Trayvax? They’re a small company that hand makes their gear. If you go to their site you can use discount codes. Either way I’m glad it worked out for you
I was attracted to the compact, minimalist approach. But after a few days trial, I returned to my old wallet. I had two issues - 1) selecting a card from a deck of 10 or 11 was a clumsy nuisance, not convenient, and 2) my drivers license has a paper sticker on it with my new address (how its done in Oregon) and the shifting of the DL in the windowed panel is quickly eroding the info on the paper sticker.
I love my OG 2.0 in G10, but I could never get a snug enough fit for my five cards. In hindsight, I should've gone with the Trayvax Ascent wallet instead.
I learned the hard way today that even when my ID card was on the outside it still RFID blocking. Where I work I out my ID up to sensors on doors to open them and it doesn't work lol. Otherwise love this wallet.
Number of cards fit is irellivant if you can just cut and thread a paracord longer...love the feature where you can put the id on the outside i wanted that feature, that seemingly was only on their top priced wallet
This is my current everyday carry in G10 (totally worth the upgrade to me). Really the only thing I don't like is the money clip. Trayvax loves to make you fold your bills twice over. I'd love to have a half fold option. Also since it's essentially 2 plates it would be cool if they offered some modular options or more substantial money clip. I hate having to take my money out to use the bottle opener. For the price though this just gets sooooo many things right.
@@ChrispyThings yeah man it's got a really nice texture to it. I assume it's also lighter. Just feels more premium to me and since it's less than $50 I wouldn't even call it a splurge.
