- Focus 3 is a double-album by progressive rock band Focus, which was released in 1972[3], peaking #6 [4] on the UK charts. It includes "Sylvia", a worldwide hit that reached #4[5] on the UK charts and #89 on the US charts. It also contains "House of the King"[6], a single originally from 1970, which was later included on the CD version of Focus' first album, Focus Plays Focus (In and Out of Focus). "House of the King" was not, as is often believed, re-recorded for Focus III.

The best guitar solo..ever..respect..
Bloody amazing stuff!! This is Focus at their absolute peak, no question. I remember they played this on Radio 1 one evening in 1972, probably Sounds of the Seventies, and I thought, wow, what was that??!! Love the whole thing, especially the jam & the ending. If I remember rightly, Focus 3 was recorded live in the studio in just a few days. No wonder this sounds so damned perfect.
Jan Akkerman....is probably the best since Jimi Hendrix! ...as the master of oblique guitaring.... out of the box... improvised magic!
Always thought the drum bit was way too long.
But it's such a good jam, got me into music in general in my youth.
