Nice top-gun T-shirt. Yamaha DSP A-3090 was my first AV amp. Later I used Pioneer, Onkyo, Denon...but never Yamaha again. Hope that it will come to my home theater in the future. Thanks for the unboxing!!
Another great informative video, any chance you can do review on the new onkyo Rz 50? Im in the market to upgrade receiver and they say it’s 4K 120 out the box all hdmi. Keep up the great work!
Is the shiny panel covered in Gorilla Glass? Im a bit worried that it might be easy to scratch or have blemishes??? Did you get yours new and was it pristine when you checked it out? Thanks buddy
What room is that you are using? Are you using OLED? And I see that lovely Sony hidden down under 😉 I've been considering the Panasonic UB420 because it has been going on and off for sale at the price of $149! I would of course get rid of my LG 4k player and put my Sony 4k to the OLED 😎
Not an OLED no, just a 4k hisense. Soon possibly an OLED will be going in the mini mancave with a 5.2ch setup. The sony ubx800 is great, 420 is also nice! 👌
I love Onkyo sound but AccuEQ has a terrible reputation. I'm still using an old one with Audyssey multeq xt32. Ypao is supposed to be pretty good these days.
I saw that you are using two subwoofers. On mine, I get a weird buzzing sound on the 450w one. The other is 150w. They told me that I should get another co-ax cable and see but I’m skeptical that it would work. They rxa2a two sub out are in a Y configuration which means that power is from a single source rather that two. I just wanted to ask what your configuration is and if you experienced the same issue and how you set it up.
I have mine hooked up seperate rca cables, not a Y splitter. Since it has 2 outs, might aswell do it right. If that doesn't work for you, try switching cables and see if any change or else it could be your board.
@@hstudio30 The A2A has an internal Y-splitter. While you see 2 external sub out, internally, it Y-split. To get 2 separate ones, you need to upgrade to the A6A and up.
@@hstudio30 thanks. I'm getting mine back tomorrow from the repair shop. Yamaha exchanged the HDMI board for free. I got an Xbox series X and basically, it will do nothing since the gaming features are still not out yet. I'm thinking of getting the Pioneer VSX-LX505 or the Onkyo Z50
Why would I even touch any Yamaha receiver when the biggest features aren't available for the Aventage line up till Feb. , 2022? No VRR, ALLM, 4K/ 120Hz. Nope - Onkyo RZ50 is the best AVR out so far - 140 wpc and everything works out of the box.
I wanted to add that my AVR already has the new hdmi and will get 4K 120hz with a software upgrade. I was told this when I registered the receiver and asked to have the HDMI board replaced under their warranty.
sorry but there is no update for 4k 120k your going to have to dismantle all you connections get a box put your avr amp in box make sure its well packed put your return lables from yamaha on it wait all day for the courier to pick it up wait for yamaha to replace board then send it back to you 2weeks with no avr amp just so my xbox will run 4k120hz this is your punishment for not buying a rx4a and to top it off denon have released a avr that does do 4k120hz and is 400 cheaper no more yamaha now
Yamaha is one of those brands in Audio that I just don't like. There is no reason for it, I haven't had any bad experiences, it is just a brand I never have and probably never will buy when it comes to audio. Maybe it's because I have rode Yamaha snowmobiles and motorcycles and prefer a brand that is less diversified. I know they make good products but it still hasn't changed my mind. The other brand I will never consider for audio/video is Sony. I just don't like them. Maybe because they won with Blu-ray when HD-DVD was better but it is more to do with I think they have the Apple attitude, meaning they think they are better and smarter than everyone and for many years they charged more just because it says Sony on it. Other than those two brands, when it comes to an AVR, I will consider almost every other reputable brand.
WTF ? No front HDMI port. No back lit remote. Tiny display. That such basic and useful features are missing on their supposedly top of the line, premium receiver, tells me that Yamaha has lost the plot.
Definately has more negatives but for the price its definately a positive direction not to mention those let downs aren't deal breakers for some..thanks for watching 🤙🍻
I'm a old A/V tec & I'm pissed. No Amp should need anything other then a remote control & this online connectivity is total bs along with smartphone controls & this Alexa bs WTF went wrong in my old field did they knock off all the old timers with a clue?
US faster upgrade bro,I M using pioneer model LX 704,there upgrade for 8k,we buying 8k than there upgrade to 16k no end because of business... price also increase when there upgraded.omg😜🤣
Even the interface is identical to the lower cost A4A / A6A line - what makes this stand out? YPAO is nothing compared to Dirac - standard on the Onkyo - useless tiny screen - I dumped mine on 3 months. Cheaper Denon models have HDMI 2.1 4K/120 Hz out of the box - so does the TX NR6100 - for under 500 bucks. Yamaha should be ashamed of themselves for again releasing a half baked product. They get a pass once - not twice.
i do agree minorly but there are still alot of yamaha fans out there and for its price it is promising alot..the question is when are these promises going to happen..cheers for the input and watching!
@@hstudio30 They promised last year - to no avail. Now they are doing the exact same thing - asking for $3000.00 for an unbaked cake - or unfinished product. Too many choices out already - even budget receivers for Denon ( S760H ) and Onkyo ( TX NR6100 ) for under $500.00 offer 4K/120 Hz - 8K/60hz playback, ALLM, VRR, QFT, and the Yamaha you have to wait - till 2022? That's inexcusable.

I love US home theater system upgrade inside their own house ❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍 perfect
Wonderful! Thank you for this; you gave me what I needed to make a decision. I just ordered it.
What about the sound in 2 channel mode?
Nice top-gun T-shirt.
Yamaha DSP A-3090 was my first AV amp.

Cheers Chen, what's the reason of never yamaha again?
@@hstudio30
For the old Yamaha, we like to use an external amp for more speaker output.
Now I just like the sound of Denon and Pioneer more.
Just purchased my first Yamaha. Would like to see a video on setting up scenes.
sometime will do..
Awesome review! Love Yamaha. Love different zones @ 1 button touch, part mode, etc. Lots of good tech. Thanks
Cheers Cody! Thanks for watching 💪
I want the Yamaha with the balanced XRLs, can't wait till I actually can get my hands on one.
yamaha definately has a big fanbase and im sure your gonna be thrilled mate, enjoy! Cheers for watching
Hi, Can it take 4 Ohm speakers? I have 4 ohm speakers.
Great video …… I have this Yamaha is great , I want to install a DAC WHAT input you recomend to use?
great video bro...but where can i find a home cinema furniture like this on your video? do you have a link to buy it?
Hey 👌very good video …. Thanks how can I know is this receiver need or no update for 8K and Dolby Atmos? Thanks 🙏
No update as yet unfortunately..Thanks

Thank you Jose, cheers for watching and id love to review the onkyo if i can get my hands on one. soon hopefully..🙏🍻
Has the bug been fixed on later produced units?thanks
Some guys said that this amplifier dont have enough juice to run extended amplifier giving poor quality audio in stereo mode. This true?
It has plenty of juice 🤙
@@hstudio30 Did you actually test its limits with some gruelling tests, or do you simply feel confident that it has “plenty of juice”?
Your new logo is 🔥.
Thank you 😁
The RX A8A is an awesome av amp
IT SURE IS! Cheers for watching 🍺👌
Is the shiny panel covered in Gorilla Glass? Im a bit worried that it might be easy to scratch or have blemishes??? Did you get yours new and was it pristine when you checked it out? Thanks buddy
So any good news lately? Just purchased one. For a 7.1 setup.

I love Yamaha, this one is loaded with so many features 👍🏻
Cheers mate, Thanks for watching ✌
Not till next year - half baked product.
I think RX A2A is the lowest model from the ADVANTAGE series capable of a 2.1 configuration. Am I wrong?
Onkyo has zero issues with HDMI 2.1 😁👌👍
Haha fair call👌🙂
Onkyo sac is a dog.
I love Onkyo sound but AccuEQ has a terrible reputation. I'm still using an old one with Audyssey multeq xt32. Ypao is supposed to be pretty good these days.
How would this compare with the newer release, similarly priced, Integra Drx 2.4?
I would go Integra 🤙

Yes i know that but try using seperates for testing reasons to find out more about your issue. Cheers
What are the names of those subwoofers you where using?
Their the KRIX VOLCANIX subwoofers 🙂🤙
Does this yamaha receivers front gloss panel show up light scratch marks under a bright light?
Great question, with normal nail accidental scratches..no it doesn't. 👌
@@hstudio30
Oh okay, just wondered because a lot of gloss products show scratches so easily, cheers
Can you biamp fronts and still have atmos on this reciever??
How many channels you want to run?
I have 5.1 and I want 2 atmos speakers on top of my towers.
@@bigman7398 if you biamp you won't be able to setup 5 base + 2 atmos on this receiver.
Which is best yamaha or denon
Any idea when the update is coming for the gaming features? I own this as well, and still waiting
Unfortunately still waiting but having to wait this long is hinting maybe it's never going to happen..
Onkyo z50 👍

Unfortunately not Luke 😪

Yamaha has a great sound but their room correction doesn't seem to do a great job in my room. Makes me sad. Could be user error 😅🤣
