  • See aerial views of Barrow Hill roundhouse, yard and the Deltic Preservation Society workshop.
A mix of locos are stored onsite including the 2 recently painted HNRC class 37's in their bright orange liveries!
Also visible are 2 x Deltics - D9000 which is with HNRC for engine repairs and 55019 which has recently returned back to DPS for winter maintenance.
Light conditions for this video weren't great - It was a dark and dull winters day so apologies for a few shots not being as sharp as usual.
Hope you enjoy the video! Thanks for watching

This footage was filmed in full compliance to current CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) regulations for drone usage (Nov-22).

@@trainsplanes I'm gonna go and have a look at them next week I will find a way up there by bus/coach as it costs far to much by train nowadays its disgusting what they're allowed to charge us! £52 to Birmingham from Manchester after 9.30am on the national express it's between £10-20 depending on the time you travel! that's more like it not £52.

I'm not so keen on the colour of the 37's but if it keeps them running then that has got to be good.

Love seeing these drone surveys but in this case I was even more intrigued than usual. Did I see a 4-CEP motor coach and possibly a brake second trailer in there, both in the rags of NSE costume, amongst all the other celebrities?

It's highly likely the footage was within the law and to the correct distances and heights. You don't need permission to fly over anything unless it has an exclusion zone which this place almost certainly doesn't. If it was a nuclear plant, Ministry of Defence or HM Prisons, that is a different story. I have no idea why someone would be interested in asking if someone had permission.
