Remember the location as a kid. Visited about 16 years ago when working to discuss remote controls for steel works diesel shunters so could operate with cab empty.Never took it further. Was impressed with the work they were doing. Gone from strength to strength.

I think 💬 the baby deltic is there somewhere and the a Green tender on the left of shed when the video comes to the end tho what 🚂 locomotive it belongs to is a pass but am i thinking there a deltic next door.

Excellent video as usual. The rock soundtrack is back... well ish. I miss that. I must visit barrow Hill. Thank you.
It’s well worth a visit - Lots to see 👍
Me with the Belmond Pullman 🙂
The roundhouse is the historical 'star' but plenty more covered accommodation needed.

That looks like the bunker of a tank engine
I use to live 10 minutes walk away. Remember great open days. It should be a must see for railway enthusiasts. Shame the brickworks are no longer.
Agreed - Well worth a visit 👍
45118 still not moved to crewe yet
That's me at 4:00 🙂
Hopefully a good day enjoyed 👍
Where was it advertised or was it a secret.
Not sure at the time but it would have been showing on all of the main workings websites 👍
I see the Deltic poking out
was about to mention that 🤣
DID YOU MISS THE ONE AT 1:14 BETWEEN THE 67 AND 97.
Rather sad to see the first gen electrics just left outside to fade. And those Peaks
The whole roundhouse has been emptied for the Rail Ale Festival next week. Once the festival is over, they'll all go back into the roundhouse
It's not very round from the outside is it. It's positively square
its a round house as inside the building is a working turntable.
Sad to see the Roarers, having been inside, now rotting in the open. Pity.
Others have said in the comments that this is temporary. Don’t be so quick to jump to conclusions
