This video is great. I never played the Jak and Daxter series. I already played Uncharted and Last of Us is my favorite Naughty Dog franchise from all of them. Never played Jak series on PS2 so I'm glad to have the chance to replay it on PS4. Had Jak 1 free from Naughty Dog's Uncharted Lost Legacy preorder bonus. Great to see the talented work behind Josh Rubin, Andy Gavin and of course Mark Cerny before he got involved with Sony being Lead Architect for PS4 and PS5. Can't wait to play all 3 games. Cool to see the work they did with it on PS2 back in Naughty Dog's glory days. Just knowing how much loved of a franchise Jak and Daxter was back then in PS2 era and still is to this day.

I was playing Jak 1 on my PS4 that I had for free digital copy from my Uncharted Lost Legacy preorder bonus that I got from it and Naughty Dog's promotion of the game. I deleted my save file by accident 2+ hours into the game. Have to replay it. Was going for platinum trophy too. I also bought Jak 2 and Jak 3 for $7 on PSN sale a while back too. Can't wait to play all 3 games for playthroughs.
All 4 games* Jak X is also part of the story, and a damn amazing game at that. While you're at it Daxter for PSP is worth a go too. Naughty Dog was a totally different team back then, this is when they were actually cool.
Worth noting that this behind the scenes video would've been released on demo discs _before_ Jak II was ever released, hence why Naughty Dog are kinda hush hush about _exactly_ what you'll find in the game. For example: they were not fucking kidding when they said Jak had a lot of growing up to do; the dude was practically spoilt in the first Jak game...think about it, in the first game Jak lived in a world where the rules of good and evil were simple; if you're a lurker, Gol, or Maia, then you're evil, simple, but seconds after falling through the rift gate he gets knocked out by some bad people who weren't even infected with dark eco like Gol and Maia were, only to then spend the next 2 years separated from his long time friends whilst being constantly injected with dark eco by his captors who knew there was a good chance it might kill him....that's fucking brutal.
Why has this turned up all of a sudden? Is Naughty finally prepared to do sth bout this beloved series? Is sth Jak related in the works? I sure hope so!
@@Gamingawesomeness121 the 1v1 Errol race through the streets was ridiculous. I did another playthrough again just a week ago and that was the only part of the game I got mad at.

I remember watching this on a demo disc and immediately wanting Jak 2 for Christmas without playing the first game. It was awesome.

@@LuffyxNamiisathing that's only like 10% of the plot. What Uncharted has over Jak is the character feeling like real people and character development
