Pro tip --- Angle the plate, bowl, container sideways and the cilantro seeds will just roll to the bottom while the stems and leaves stay at the top.

Scott, one thing I have always liked about your videos of the garden is they are "real" to life. Some other channels have well groomed gardens, perfect wood in their raised beds, weed free, every blade of grass next to the garden trimmed precisely and uniformly, spotless leaves, and not an insect within a 1/2 mile, etc.... Nobody I know has a garden like that. They (and I) have "real" to life gardens. We have weeds, sometimes the grass is higher than we would like, the raised bed wood is past needing to be replaced (but it still works) and we have pests and disease sneak in as well. But that is how gardening and nature works! I would watch video's like yours any day!!!!! (and do whenever you post one)

I have to thank you, Scott, for the big pending harvest on my young Pink Lady apple. For 2 years I only had 4 apples on the tree but this year, thanks to your advice to tie down the branches to be more horizontal, I have maybe 30 little apples! I'm so pleased!

Great tour! It seems like this is the year for a lot of issues with gardening. My hubby fractured his back at work so he has been off since March 10th. He has helped with our garden as much as he can but at his age he can only do so much, bless his heart. I will be 63 in August and he will be 76 in July so it way past time for him to retire. Hope things get better for you and your family. God bless. TFS 🙏👍

Hope life settles in to a good place for you soon. To be honest, I didn't notice you've been posting less, because I've been so busy in the garden I don't have time to watch videos! I wait for Sundays, and spend the afternoon of my day of rest watching all of the videos on all of the channels I subscribe to, and it takes a good portion of that afternoon. Always a pleasure to tour your food production areas...be sure to give Phoebe extra pets from all of your subscribers.

Here in southern WV. We are having cold snap and everything is behind. This my first year doing this raised bed and containers. Very discouraging. Never been a garden here in this property and the insect pressure is unreal. It like the insects have said. THANK YOU SO MUCH. GRRRR. Companion planting will help me I hope. Soon as the companions come out of the cold snap slump. Actually been using essential oil on wood in raised beds and believe it or not. It has helped.

I should have used organza bags on my apples this year. We had the biggest crop yet but the birds and bugs have also really enjoyed them, lol.

  • @SauerPatchGardening

Its interesting because here in zone 6a/b we have had unseasonably cool weather, with no rain. My tomatoes are only ancle high due to the cool weather. They are stunted. I grew them from seed and they aren't much bigger then when I planted. And they were leggy then. I buried them as I always do. But, they haven't grown much at all since mid May. No heat.

Congrats on your garden harvest. This has been a tough garden year for me I wasn’t able to start anything by seed due to injury and had to buy starts, however I had a happy blessing with some friends willing to help me plant the starts and I’m guiding them in their garden journey. When we went to plant another happy blessing was one tomato apparently self seeded and I had one growing about a foot tall. I’m excited to see what variety it was.
