I appreciate how fair you were to the Kingdom figure. The Studio Series Magnus is in a league of his own, but the Kingdom Magnus isn't a bad toy. Thank you for the comparison!
Studio 86' Magnus would be better if he was actually IN-SCALE with anyone. But he scales with NOBODY. While Kingdom Magnus looks the part of a Good G1 Magnus AND he's in-scale. Both are good but if scale is important to you, Studio Magnus is simply a No-Go.
Rodimus Prime should be closer in scale to Ultra Magnus. With Magnus being slightly taller. Magnus shouldn't tower in size over him. This Magnus is probably too big compared to 86 Optimus Prime too.
I don't think it's a fair comparison, but while SS86 is a far superior figure, Kingdom isn't nearly as bad people want to say. Both figures do "what the original toy did" in different ways - SS86 can carry 4 cars on his back in truck mode, kingdom has the inner prime robot. Fans have pretty much demanded UM be able to do what the toy could do, favoring (stupidly in my opinion) the vehicle mode feature in that regard. SS86, again while technically superior has been designed with the vehicle as a priority over the robot, making him wildly out of scale in robot mode. He is based on the Masterpiece MP-21, but improved and smaller with 8 years of design improvements. The biggest issue with SS86 Ultra Magnus is how large he is. Ultra Magnus should not be taller than Grimlock, particularly in a line that emphasizes scale. Your scale comes down to preference, mine comes down to movie / show accuracy - and Kingdom wins in that regard. I'm not dumping either. I'm going to explain in my stop motion series how he goes from Kingdom to SS86 to make them both in scale, but 'on the shelf' he's too big next to the other figures.
This is a simple answer for me after a long time thinking about it and coming to my decision. The best figure of the two is Studio 86 Magnus in every way but one. The one way that it falls down to Kingdom Magnus is simply scale, SS86 does not look like it is even in the same line as the others including Rodimus Prime and Springer. So the simple answer is it doesn't matter how spectacular a figure is if it is in the wrong scale and that is why I still have Kingdom Magnus on my shelf. I am staff baffled by you giving scale to SS86 in the end but I still enjoyed the review.

You are exactly right my friend. As I said above it doesn't matter how great the toy is when you make it in the wrong scale.
