One thing I carry is dish soap in a small bottle. I use it for tire changes just put some on the tire and add water. It is also good for you want to wash your hands.
I keep a tub and tool box specifically for my trailer too. Things like replacement bearings , seals some brake parts, and extra wiring and wire conectors. Plus all the specific tools needed like a bottle jack, blocks of wood and such. I never want to have to leave a loaded trailer along the road to run for parts.
Add some tubes, gas lines, zip ties, glue, a rope for towing, all the medical stuff, spark plugs electrical tape, spare battery, a meter of wire, clutch cables, throttle cables That is all the thing that fell on my mind 😂 Thats all the things that fell on my mind
thanks so much for this video I was waiting for this video for the longest everybody makes videos about what you should do to your bike but what should you have for your bike if anything happens I love this video great job 💯💯💯
Great kit, I carry a lot of bike part spares, especially critical stuff I’ve been burned on. Mainly a Chain, master links, cables, petcock orings, plugs, fuel line, and coolant hoses.
After I replaced my stretched clutch cable I kept my old one in my tool bag in case I never snap one, old one still worked just had to pull to the bar. Spare Levers are smart, good excuse to upgrade my oems!
I've camped there with Boyd at CC. The well water is nasty.... As well as going where you went, we crossed the highway put on many miles and popped out at Sunbeam. Don't tell law enforcement we rode the asphalt highway back to the campground. Lol.
I'd include a shop mat. That I role up and use a small racket strap to hold rolled up. That way if I'm back at the truck and need to work on the bike I can role the bike onto the shop mat that way I'm less likely to drop something and lose it that kinda thing and I also have one that's made of plastic that holds a work stand that I may have the bike over and rubber work mat next to it
This is great info. I have dedicated kits for all the stuff I do but having just begun the dirt bike adventure, I’m trying to put together a dedicated kit for the trail that can go in my trailer and a kit for the bike.
I have a couple bikes but my favourite to ride is an 86 cr125. I keep a whole top end in my pack. Before you say it’s cause it’s a Honda. No it’s because it’s 35 years old and hasn’t had the top end done in 5 years
Man that husky bag looks extremely clean for going to the track and all the day trips you go on.. do you even work on your bikes? How do you take a bag of tools to the track and on multi day trips and not even get a drop of oil of spec or dust on it?? Little sus
Work on your bike out of you travel kit as well as your carry tools. It will show you what you need to carry. I keep a small tool bag and a box with every chemical my bike uses and two irons and spare tubes.
no... he didnt buy a HFT socket set because he didnt want to "lose" his high end tools. your sockets dont just go missing. keep it real. you buy a HFT socket set because its practical, convenient, and sensical, as apposed to a couple hundred snap on set that youll get a couple uses out of. "once you go black, you never go back" followed by "ghetto wrenches" is probably in the "ya definitely dont say that nowadays" category. not trying to be a dingus, but i love this channel and i think any type of person from any type of background can relate and take advantage of these videos. i know its mostly hick white dudes watching but im sure yall dont want to turn away any potential riders (coming from a suburban white dude)
This video should be re-titled “tools to keep KTMs running” hahaha. I’ve taken my WR cross country 3 times. Only thing I’ve needed is spare tubes, wrench to adjust the chain and chain lube.
Avid Enduro good call. This isn’t a dirt bike brand thing... it’s all about being prepared cause you never know what the trail is going to throw at you
Sorry that’s not including the motion pro gauge which doesn’t always stay in there and the husky tool bag. Most of the tools and spare parts I already had laying around and threw in there so I didn’t include that either in that cost estimate. If you didn’t have anything and had to start from scratch you could probably build this bag for under $200
Reid Merrill this isn’t a brand thing, it’s about being prepared. All those things are great and I have them but I’ve run into issues where those things just don’t cut it. Hopefully that’s all you ever need, but when you need something else you’ll be the guy that ends up wandering over to my tool box asking to borrow stuff. Happens all the time
the structure was terrible i would recomend many making cards that can keep you on track of the info you want to present i mean maybe thats how you want to present it but im 4 and a half min in and havent really got much info
You gotta carry a whole box just to go ride for a couple of days ?😟 Just go buy a fucking Honda already guys ... All you'll need to bring with you is an extra can of gas , and some sandwiches . 😁😘
brad b so what happens when your 6 hours from home on a multi day ride and you break something or dunk your bike on a river crossing and get water in your oil? Gas and a sandwich aren’t going to save your trip you spent lots of money on.
@@tythuey knock on wood , my bikes have never gone down in a river , ( they are dirt bikes after all , not boats . 😉 ) and Honda doesn't break . Aside from the regular scheduled service , I've never had a single thing , on a single Honda I own break while out riding . Gas and sandwiches guys ... Ride Red . 😂
brad b well your lucky I guess. I’d rather be prepared than hope I luck out. I’ve owned many Honda’s in the past. While they are great bikes, I can tell you that they are not immune to having things break on them. When they do your the guy in the group that ends up wandering over to my tool box asking to use stuff
@@tythuey I ride alone , with a spot and the basic tool kit that came with the bike is all I've ever needed , aside from regular scheduled maintenance . ⛽🍔🙌

My favorite video in a while, I’m just a gear nut, I love being prepared. I feel so much more confident then.
I didnt see any zip-ties or safety wire🤔

I used to keep all these spares with me too when I rode KTMs 😂
Now that I ride Yamaha’s I just leave the tools at home
So true!
Same!
Hahaha
tends to happen when you ride a slower bike..... less risks less problems :)

Vid is worth its weight in gold! Years of experience in 12 minutes. Thanks!
Excellent work guys! This type of setup is essential. The hard box holding everything is what me and my kid are missing. Awesome 😎

I use Mousse, so no need to carry pumps and tire repair kits. Tubliss seems too complicated. I believe in KISS :)
E. F. Nitros changed my life
I like KICSS Keep it cheep, simple, stupid :).
LoL.. How do you strap that box to the bike for multi day rides?
Awesome video Kyle!

Hey , Stanley tools have lifetime warrantee, and the tooling is accurate , 6 or 12 pt sockets and box ends. Just as good as snap on , 1/3 the $ .
Safety wire can come in pretty handy also.
Michael Lock I carry that in my riding pack
It’ll be cool when you guys finally switch to nitro mousse... no more tire tools or flat anxiety... it’s the best.
This is great info. I have dedicated kits for all the stuff I do but having just begun the dirt bike adventure, I’m trying to put together a dedicated kit for the trail that can go in my trailer and a kit for the bike.
Great kit. I've got the swap system going and it's not ideal. My favorite part is that the day pack has extra grips! ha.
Nice setup...How many guys are going to go out and grab that Husky bag?
Man I really need to get out there and do some multi day trips. I want to pack the bike up and do it adventure style on the 530 exc
I love it when I meet a dude threw all "hey bro you got a tube?" That really burns me.
Can you do a video on a pack tool kit and what to keep in there for minimal tools needed to tear down a bike
Those husky tool bags are real nice, like $5 or $10 and they have proved to hold up

What is the name of this campground?
hello dirt bike channel i love the bikes that you have
That's perfect I will definitely do that with my bike when I get it.I noticed that there were two wheels in the bed I take it that the are spares?
