    Great video. I am one of your older viewers who lived the corporate life throughout the raising of my 5 children. I worked in cancer research for 25 years and all the while I struggled terribly from a sense of being overwhelmed and restless. It turned out that while the work was noble and I was good at it, it wasn't my calling. The sense of pride and fulfilment I have in providing a warm cozy home, and healthy meals to my husband and now three grandchildren that I am raising gives me such peace and sense of well being. Lastly, I too found that practicing my Catholic faith not only fed my soul but it brightened the soul of my home.

    Oh, Cynthia l I FEEL you! I was originally Pre Med (I just got my Bachelor's in Science a few weeks ago!!!) and I was working as a tech in several hospitals and clinics for three years. I realized after working in that environment that there was no way that I wanted to continue to med school to work in a system that treated both their patients and staff like cogs in a machine. It took a lot of prayer I realized that God was calling me to use my love and passion and science to teach! I finished this past semester as a student teacher and have felt so much fulfillment in being in a career that is more traditionally feminine. I definatley would like to be a stay at home mom at some point and totally admire and respect those who have chosen that lifestyle. The amount of stress that goes into pursuing a career like medicine is so overwhelming. I have a few friends who totally have the stamina to become doctors and I am so happy for them! It was just simply not something that would have been a fulfilling career for me.

      Just to be clear, do you believe that it should be against the law for women to work outside the home? I mean, even The Bible doesn't say women working is a sin. And when you talk about being submissive, are you saying that the law should, for example, require that women engage in sexual activity with men on demand?

    This is what I think as a man. Men are leaders but for a man to lead the relationship it takes a good cheerleader to support him. The more she supports him the more he develops leading the relationship and becomes more masculine and when she tells him to do something he says yea babe I got you and she's proud of him with a big smile on her face. Yes I think women find it more attractive when a man develops into a masculine man. He becomes strong taking care of things, taking care of business and leading that relationship. The more she allows the man to be the leader of that relationship the more happy the woman will be and she can be in her feminine. Yes it's a beautiful thing as a man when your around a woman that's in her feminine. Let the man lead, support him and he'll develop into a better version of himself and will be a better leader of that relationship. I slowly seeing or understanding that there is a beauty in a woman where she doesn't have to show all that flesh but just dress modest. I'm trying to understand this but I think all the woman has to do is dress modest and carry herself right. I think that's is the beauty of a woman that is missing today and not the stuff you see today where woman are showing too much in the things that they wear. I have so much stuff on my mind but I will end it here.

      This is such a valuable comment for the viewers to read! Thank you so much for posting! :) I have personally seen this played out in my own relationship. Trusting your man, even if it is difficult at first, automatically makes a woman more feminine and starts the cycle of inspiring masculinity. I also remember listening to a podcast about the importance of not wavering in supporting your man, even if times are tough or even if he made a mistake - usually, this seems to lead to even more masculinity and a greater desire to succeed.

I have sucked at it mostly because for most of that time I wasn’t even home much because my oldest was in and out of the hospital due to a congenital heart defect so we were in survival mood. Once things settled I didn’t embrace my role right away. Despite going back to school now that both my children are in school my priority is still the home and I have become better but still struggle. Great recap video. I am told everyday by my husband that he appreciates my homely duties and work with our children but it wasn't until he told me I didn't need to have more children to be at home I truely believed him. Staying at home being the lead parent is the most difficult and rewarding job ever. So when other women say I'm unemployed I feel a little sadness. But happy, kind and clever kids remind the importance of my life choice.
    Re: being submissive and trust. I feel confident in my relationship because we communicate. I can see the reasoning behind decisions and on occasions when decisions are made I can trust, like you it was made in good taste.

    • @CynthiaL
      @CynthiaL  4 года назад

      I think that judgement from other women sometimes stems from insecurity, even though they might not realize themselves. I had a friend say something judgemental to me about staying him, but she hadn't even noticed that she has a preconceived bias. I'm happy to hear that your husband and kids support your decision and remind you of the importance of it. I am also happy to hear about the submissive and trust in your relationship - it really does come down to that, trust. It's a mutual thing. 💞

    Love this! I am somewhere in the middle of this. I finished my doctorate 2 (almost 3) years ago now and have been working in direct patient clinical care since before and after graduation. After a lot of talking, thinking and praying (in part after a miscarriage) - and re-evaluating my/our family goals, I will be a stay at home wife starting next week and I am ECSTATIC. My last day of work is this upcoming Friday. Though I may look at seeing some patients in private practice setting a few times a week, it'll be minimal and a part of me wishes I could go back in time to not accrue student debt and not feel ashamed of wanting to be a stay at home wife/mom some day. Thanks for your videos.

    Have you ever researched French women and how they eat, exercise, practice skin care and hair care, and wear clothes? A lot can be learned from them. They can go on and on about equal rights and all that, but in the end they are still feminine women and from my view they are not against men. I saw an interview with Marion Cotillard, one of the best dramatic actresses in the world. When asked what she thought of the feminist movement she had a very short answer. Why would I want to be separated from men?

      It is wonderful reading your story. It is definitely scary, since we are in the minority of seeing the value in femininity and more traditional living, however we can support each other. I'm not sure if I'm traditionalist, per se, but I do want to keep certain parts of my culture in my daily life that people of my age don't show off so easily? Thank you. Being submissive is harder to women nowadays because let's say it frankly, it requires lots of humility and trust in God in the way he's planned our roles. As for me, budgeting together has become a blessing :my husband "trusts" me better with money because he knows I can handle a bank account ;)
    This is sooo fulfilling, and it helps marriages bloom into something divine

      Oh thank you so much for sharing your experience 💕. I found that stepping into our roles brought out the best in both of us. :)

    Love the video. You look like you would have a beautiful natural hair color. Have you ever thought about going natural on you hair?

    From the streets she emerged and to the streets she shall return. If a woman did come from the streets she will not make it as a traditional lady. She will go back be a street female.
    Just be wise with your decisions. I wish you girls the best looks like a good thing what your doing here. Very interesting as man seeing the other side
