It was so awesome meeting you too. I am so happy you like the gifts. Thank You again for making the scrunchies last minute for me. I am hoping to get to the next Pakenham one as well.
♥♥♥ LOVE LOVE LOVE the gingham ♥♥♥ I use quite a bit of gingham in my sewing and it always sells well. Hooray for getting an industrial machine. You won't know yourself! A seriously good investment in your business. Lovely to see Rhys helping you at the market too.
Yes I’m so in love with the gingham! I’ve been watching a new channel ( Rosery apparel ) and she makes the most gorgeous pieces of clothing in so many gingham prints. Might need to find some time to make some for myself I’m obsessed! Yes so excited for the new addition 🥰 thank you 😁
@@TaylahRose I'm a big fan of Rosery Apparel too. Janelle sure loves her gingham, but I also love how she sources and uses vintage and second hand fabrics. I like to do this for the bags I make. Janelle has many terrific tutorials for sewing the items she makes, I'm sure if you could find some time you'd enjoy making a dress or two. Another clever Aussie channel is The Essentials Club. Maddy drafts patterns from existing clothing and gives step by step guides for everything she makes too. Enjoy!
Glad to hear you did well. Events can be a hit or miss. When putting so much time into your product and display, which by the way it was beautiful, not doing well can be such a let down. Happy you were successful. Happy Holidays from Florida
ahh Instagram has been such a pain with engagement lately! Sooo tough being a small business these days. Love seeing your behind the scenes videos Tay! x
Do you sew labels into your XL Scrunchies? If so, another way to place the label is to sew it into the first stitch you sew to make it a “loop” if you didn’t know 💗💗
Love this video!! Don't know I this helps with the whole instagram thing but I saw a post from someone else I follow that instagram is selectively choosing content to show. You have to change your settings to fix it. Settings > Account > Sensitive content control and then click allow all. Even your followers have to do this Incas instagram is incorrectly blocking your content from them 🙄 Hope this helps 🥰
You know I love the long vlogs! 🥰🥰 and Flo is seriously so precious. She’s getting so big! I’ve got 2-3 markets every weekend until Christmas as well. So exhausted. At least Jan is a little slower. We can recoup 😊
You’re such an entrepreneur and at such an age! Keep up the good work! Love your videos with tips and info 🙏🏼 Just have a couple of questions. Do you use ordinary white tablecloths or did you buy fabric? Also do you have bags for your customers when they buy something at the markets?
i think your business is growing really well and getting yourself an assistant will be very beneficial, at least find someone who will do the packing part. this will give you more time to create more scrunchies etc. and will help you accommodate more orders online
You are such a trooper! Love your videos with tips and info! Thank you for sharing 🙏🏼 Such an entrepreneur at such a young age 😍 Questions for you: 1. What do you use as tablecloth? Are they jus regular tablecloths? 2. Do you use bags for your customers? Or you don’t use anything? Keep up the good work!
Thanks! I purchased ordinary tablecloths from spotlight (I have used calico fabric in the past) and I use sandwich bags for products! I do have bigger Kraft bags but I only use those when someone purchases quite a few items 😊
I just started watching. I’ve watched several of your videos. Have you thought about creating a peg system for your online sales, similar to the ones you take to shows? Seems like it would save you time in getting your packages ready to ship.
I have the Juki DDL-9000c which is computerized. It is an industrial machine. I just got it a few months ago and I love it. I have been able to setup custom stitches for the different fabrics I sew. I love that you can have it automatically backstitch your beginning and your end (you can turn that off if you want). It goes up to 4000 stiches per minute but that is way too fast for anything I sew, even the blankets I make which are straight seams. I feel 1500 is more than enough for me. Let me know if you want a few videos I have found on RUclips which have been great with things like threading an industrial (different from home machines) and industrial machines are very fussy about their threading. You have to do every step correctly or it won't sew. Good Luck!
@@TaylahRose Unfortunately, no I am not in Aus. I’m in the U.S. However, I think it is available in Aus. The other reason I like the Juki DDL-9000c is that the oil (industrials use lots of oil) sits in an enclosed small tank, not in an oil pan below the machine which I believe the 8700 does. Whatever industrial Juki machine you end up there will be a learning curve but I am sure you will be just fine. I’ve accumulated many RUclips videos about the 9000c which I would gladly share with you. Also, if you do look at the 9000c just be aware that there are different models. I have the FMS. I also have another Juki that I love, the Kirei NX7, but that is not an industrial machine. I needed an industrial because I am about to launch my own business (not scrunchies) and I was killing my Kirei machine. I am so impressed with you and how you have grown your business. I enjoy watching your videos and watch them as I work. Let me know if you want the links to videos. One of the best ones was from ABC Sewing Machine Inc. If you have any questions about the Juki-9000 I would be glad to send you my private email address. It took me a long time to decide on a machine and once I narrowed it down to Juki I then I researched several models (8700, 1181, 1541) before ultimately deciding on the 9000c.
Hey taylah ...am from India .... just started to follow in the same business field... last year I started too scrunchies business called agape Creations.... finding lots of difficulty to heap ..... seeing u ....I feel encourage ... Love u
I'm preparing for my first market this weekend!! How do you keep your scrunchies from getting squished? Mine are getting all wonky and I don't know how to fix it!
With my wide elastic scrunchies they don’t tend to get to bad! I’ve noticed other Scrunchie people leaving them on the boards/sticks or placing them on top of each other in tubs but super neatly and not putting to many in to avoid crushing
It was!! I never used to have this issue when I had my better tables (prior to moving in with Rhys) it helped! I had to also do it to the mat too but it did end up moving towards the end of the day again I think because the table vibrates to much. But definitely a temporary solution!
Hi Taylah, I’m pretty sure about a year ago I was actually subscribed to you and a few others and when my sub count got up to around 80 I noticed occasionally a RUclipsr would disappear off my list.. do you think it’s an auto thing they do? Yep! Anything plastic will condensate in the sun, I find when I leave my boxes out on a hot day they will get damp and have moisture in there, try keep anything that can’t ‘breathe’ out of direct sunlight if possible 😊 mine have a little hole in the front so I haven’t had this problem

Could you shared the size of your scrunchies? Normal size and xl size? I wanted to make some for my sister's and sister in-law
