      But God is within. His holy spirit is in us our body is a temple. God is not out he is in us with us. You're looking at things exoterically. The bible is much deeper than that.

    Straight up. If I was a curious kid asking you why Noah got drunk and naked, I would walk away after this video realizing you have no answer.

    • @jesusinfive
      @jesusinfive  2 месяца назад

      The Bible doesn't give an answer as to WHY Noah got drunk and the video thumbnail and title don't tell you that I will answer that question. My opinion of why he got drunk though is that he just did a whole lot of difficult work and saw a lot of death and destruction so instead of going to God to receive peace he went to alcohol and sinfully got drunk, just like many of us do today. The point of the video is to show that Noah is just like us and needed the same grace and mercy from God that we all need. We find that grace in Jesus.

  • @TubeOnRichard

    So Josh you believe that Noah somehow was retroactively redeemed by future Jesus? He didn't have to. Noah getting drunk wasn't a sin. If there was a sin then it was Ham, but it wasn't, it was Canaan who was cursed. So why didn't future Jesus retroactively redeem them as well?

    • @jesusinfive
      @jesusinfive  2 месяца назад +1

      He wasn't retroactively redeemed. He was saved by believing the promise of Genesis 3:15, that God would send a Savior for the world. Noah getting drunk was a sin according to God's command against drunkenness and, yes, of course Ham also sinned and this is why his ancestors didn't receive the blessing. And we don't know if Ham had faith in the promise of Genesis 3:15 after his sin because the Bible doesn't say. If he did then he is saved by grace through faith in the promise. If he didn't have faith and rejected the promise, then he would stand condemned.

    Is it possible that this story has a deeper meaning.
    Looking back at the previous chapters in Genesis, there's numerous symbolism, so why not here?
    *Nakedness=shame sin
    *(Un)Covered= The Law, God, Jesus
    *Vineyard=Jesus the true vine (John 15)
    *Vinedresser=God (John 15)
    *Walking backwards to Cover Nakedness= God covered nakedness of Adam (Jesus blood covering)

      Absolutely. Many of those things could be compared with other Scriptures and they could definitely point to Jesus. That’s the main goal of this channel, to help people find Jesus throughout all the Bible. I want to do enough of that in my videos without pointing out everything so people can start seeing the parallels themselves. Also, I’m gonna miss some things as well so comments like yours are extremely helpful! God bless you!

      Are you saying that once a person is saved by God’s grace the thing that keeps them saved is their obedience to God?
      Noah was saved, obeyed God, and then sinned against God and his family by getting drunk. The point is that we are saved by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. Our obedience doesn’t save us after salvation and our sins don’t damn us after salvation. Jesus’ obedience saves us and His obedience and death has paid for every sin. God bless you! Have peace knowing Jesus did it all FOR YOU. Rest in Him. 🙏🏼

      @@jesusinfive You are partly correct. You have to rightly divide the word. Noah according to Scripture was saved by faith( God's grace). Doesn't the scripture teaches repentance according to Psalms 51, a certain prophet sinned but asked God for forgiveness. So it's not about being perfect in the flesh because none is righteous ( good) Romans 3:10. I appreciate your insights, but there is error in that teaching, to believe that because one is saved by grace they don't need to be obedience to God's word(1 Samuel 15:22, Isaiah 1:19, John 14:15). We are in error to believe so. James also reminds us that we should not just be hearers of the word, but doers also. Faith in God without works is also dead, according to the scriptures. God bless you.

      @@FindingTheTruthMinistry I agree that once a person is saved by grace they will have a desire to obey God and their lives will be transformed by God. I also believe they will turn from their sins and turn to God (repent), which is why I implore people to repent and believe at the end of my videos. However, we’re not perfect after we’re saved. We still sin and need to confess our sins and God who is faithful and just will forgive our sins. He forgives a saved person the same way He forgives an unsaved person and that’s by and through Jesus’ life, death, burial, and resurrection. My point is to continually look to Christ for our assurance because we know objectively that He lived a perfect, sinless life that we couldn’t/wouldn’t live and died the death we deserved to die bearing God’s wrath for our sins. I agree that we should obey God’s commands as believers, but I’m not looking to my obedience for my assurance cause I’m gonna fail. Rather, I’m going to look at Jesus’ obedience and KNOW that He has saved me. Thanks for the conversation. 😀

    We cannot be saved without being obedient. We should obey God rather than man. Acts 5:29
    In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God and obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 1:8.
    Yes Jesus saves us, and we cannot work our way into heaven. However, we must obey what He says do...and that includes being baptized. Acts 2:38, Mark 16:16, Acts 16:30-33
    Teach the whole truth.

    • @jesusinfive
      @jesusinfive  7 месяцев назад

      The whole truth is that obedience doesn't save you, we are saved by faith alone in Christ's obedience, death, burial, and resurrection alone. Our faith then produces obedience that is evidence of our salvation. Question: Have you obeyed God perfectly since you've been saved? If not, have no fear because Christ was perfectly obedient for you. Trust in His righteousness that has been freely given to you as a gift from God. God bless you!

    Talk about missing the entire point of the passage. At what point does the passage say Noah was sinning? Noah literally cursed an entire people group for all history, which to work would require God to agree. If the whole ordeal began with Noah sinning, it is unlikely God would uphold this curse. It is not a sin to celebrate and be drunk in your home with your wife. Hams curse was placed upon his son Cannan and all of his descendants. This suggest something very heinous took place. The most likely theory is Ham impregnated his mother, an exegesis study of the Bible supports this.

    • @jesusinfive
      @jesusinfive  11 месяцев назад

      Where would the Bible say Ham impregnated with mother? And the Bible is clear that drunkenness is a sin. Paul warns the Ephesians to not get drunk with wine, which leads to debauchery (an unproductive, useless, unwise life) -Ephesians 5:18

    • @Jason-kg4rs
      @Jason-kg4rs 11 месяцев назад

      The Bible warns against the folly of drunkenness, but nowhere is listed as a sin. Sadly, you have completely missed the mark again on Paul's teaching, "be not drunk with wine in excess, but rather BE FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT." The world is filled with people who never drink and also filled with people without the Holy Spirit... which do you think is more important? Who will see the Kingdom of heaven? Paul's point was to let the Holy Spirit fill and consume you in the same manner as wine. I'm not advocating for drunkenness. I'm advocating for rightly dividing the scripture.

    • @jesusinfive
      @jesusinfive  11 месяцев назад

      @@Jason-kg4rs Why aren't you advocating for drunkenness? Is it because it's not good for you? This is a command given by Paul, who is inspired by the Holy Spirit, to the church, that we shouldn't get drunk with wine. If you violate the command from God then you have sinned against Him. Thus drunkenness is a sin. I think you're grasping at straws to try to say it isn't. And I give the gospel in ALL of my videos because I understand how important it is to be filled with the Holy Spirit. That can't happen unless someone believes in the Christ for their salvation. I think you're missing the point of my video. The point is that Noah sinned, but was justified by faith in the coming Messiah, Jesus Christ. We too are sinners (drunks, sexually immoral, greedy, etc.) saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. We are filled with the Holy Spirit and He helps us continue to overcome sin, do good works, and bear His fruit in our lives. I'm honestly confused as to what you're wanting to disagree about.

    • @GodlyWriter
      @GodlyWriter 9 месяцев назад

      Galatians 5:19 drunkenness is listed as a sin. If you drink, don’t get drunk. The Bible doesn’t say drinking wine is a sin but it certainly and very clearly lists “drunkenness” is a sin.
