THANKS FOR WATCHING
Yes remember collecting Panini stickers for my album. The shiny team badges were the best part of collecting for me.
Getting a foil badge was the greatest feeling ever.
Collected these for years and spent a fortune trying to be the first in my school to fill it up great memories
I remember I was second in my school to complete this 85 album. I was furious when I stood there and watched a class-mate do a swap for the one sticker he needed to complete his album. It took me another week to get the sticker I needed to complete mine.
In Canada we all collected hockey stickers albums. Panini and O-Pee-Chee were the competing albums and stickers.
It seems that Panini did stickers for the entire world. They're still going strong to this day.
One of my best pals from school dad was involved in professional football. He had a complete book from either the 87 or 88 season. It was signed by every player from every club in the English first division. Oh the joy of getting your teams foil badge in the packet. Doubles of your favourite player.
That's a really cool story. Oh yeah, getting a foil badge sticker was like striking gold.
Definitely brought back some memories thanks for that. I had 84, & that very same 85 album but failed to complete either. I was close on both from what I can recall! I still have them both somewhere. Will have to dig them out. Always felt sorry for the Scottish players having to share a sticker. Congrats on last night anyway tremendous result!
I have the Panini Football 79 album and the Scottish players got the full sticker each, but for some reason, Panini then decided that Scotland wasn't worth caring about and gave us two players per sticker. That was quite a shock last night, but a very pleasant surprise. Thanks.
I had the Euro '84 book which had plastic cards that slotted into the pages. My first Panini book was World Cup '86 which I hardly filled as it was too much money in the end. Getting loads of swaps but not getting much out of those as not many kids at junior did it. One boy at my school did complete it though, which I was pretty envious about naturally.
The last time I did sticker books was the Football '87 album with Andy Gray on the front, playing for Villa against Everton. Just seen a picture of the stickers and they were 12p a pack for that season.
Some of my mates (who are about 6 years younger than me) all did a book each, possibly World Cup '14. I wasn't inclined to do it all again, and they worked out they would have to spend hundreds of pounds to complete it, such is the way it is worked out by Panini, unsurprisingly!
I have the Euro 84 book with the plastic cards as well. Back in the 80s, it wasn't quite so expensive to complete the book because basically every lad was collecting them as well so there was no shortage of doubles to swap for.
Great tnx a lot mate!
Greetings from Sweden.
Thank you for watching.
brought a tear to my eye , life seemed so inocent then .
Yup, it certainly was an innocent time.
I actually collected the baseball sticker albums produced by Topps I believe. I have several from the mid 80’s including 1985. In those the top players of each team got a big sticker, while the other prominent players of each team got smaller ones. And the team logos were nicer foil stickers I believe. Plus you had some special pages with all stars and possibly award winners and post season pictures.
I loved collecting the stickers and filling the pages. I never filled the whole book though. How did you fill the whole thing? I guess I didn’t really have any friends who also collected to trade with. I still have them though, and they bring back great memories. Thanks for the video!
I always loved the challenge of trying to find all he stickers to complete the album. I was lucky because almost every boy at school collected them as well so there was no shortage of doubles to swap.
Haha I found a Man U foil from 82 under my floor board. Nice vid.
Wow, nice find.
In my school playground ...got got got need !
LOL. That's all you would ever hear across playgrounds in the UK.
The transformers sticker album I nearly completed.. and 86 world cup Mexico .. I had the football league album with Brian Robson playing for the owls before he played for United lol
@@Andrew-el8xi I remember trying to fill the E.T. and the Gremlins albums but had to give up because there weren't enough other kids collecting them to do swaps with.
I remember collecting these, I would’ve only been 5 at the time. Only started collecting because the older boy over the back lane from me was. I don’t even like football and didn’t really have any concept of it at the time ether, probably due to the fact my father didn’t like it. I remember my friend telling me his favourite team was Newcastle United and that’s who I should support too. I’m pretty sure I lost interest soon afterwards, I remember the page layout and the image on the back cover.
I also had sticker books of He-Man, The Black Cauldron, Dandy & Beano (50th Anniversary) and I also collected cards of Monster Olympics.
Panini made loads of great albums and stickers.
I’m surprised you didn’t mention that the Liverpool FC page bursts into flames when exposed to sunlight?
LOL
Remember having this, but I'm noticing now-where is Kevin sheedy? How could they miss him out?
Was he with Everton at the time?
@@AllThings80s Yep
Best left foot I've seen.
I remember them too well my friend, I still collect them today. Rather expensive collecting the vintage as they are becoming very rare indeed. By the way you may have a very expensive item in your possession there brother.🇬🇧
I have a few more complete albums that I'll share in future videos.
@@AllThings80s great stuff AT8, can't wait to see them. By the way you did very very well completing the albums, personally I am collecting Espana 82 stickers which I am 1/3 way through the album. Take care and hope to chat soon. 🇬🇧. ✌️.
@@darrenhackney6834 Is it easy to still find the stickers for Espana 82?
@@AllThings80s it's still easy to buy the stickers that are cut outs from the actual album and not with the sticky back's.
@@darrenhackney6834 Excellent.
Sure they had gone up to 12p that year. That’s inflation for you🤣 Got, Got, Got, Need.....
..great memories.
I just checked, they were still 10p in 85 but they did go up to 12p for the 86 season.
@@AllThings80s good work, seemed like a big raise back in the day. Great content, childhood memories just like mine😎👍
@@jamiepike6909 Thanks.
I'm not sure if it was this 1 I had but I definitely did have 1 of the football sticker albums.. Don't know why as I had zero interest in football then and have zero interest in it now.. I suppose I got it because everyone else was doing it and I did want to be seen as the outsider or weirdo... You know how cruel kids can be.. Lol.
I know exactly what you mean.
@@AllThings80s I know the feeling. 👍
