Awh so cool to see friends of the channel join you out there in Thailand 🇹🇭 Dean.Such a kind and generous gentleman Jason is..always strikes me as a wonderful guy in all and any livestream we’ve all taken part in,nice video dude 🫵🫶🏻🇮🇪
@@AllThings80s It was so much fun, I started at the Southend-On-Sea branch in September 1991 and was employed with loads of other teens for the Xmas season. I so badly wanted to work on the music department, sadly for me I got the damn gardening section lol. At the same time Lose Your Illusions was released the week after I started and sat at 1 and 2 in their charts for an entire year!
As soon as I saw the packing of the glider planes, I knew what they were. As a kid, I would tape them cheap whistling rockets to them and set them off to see how for they got before they exploded. On the odd occasion, They took off and did a 180 turn on me and had to run for cover as they came flying back at me, lol.
LOL, I never did that with the glider planes, but on one occasion, I thought it would be fun to tie a plastic bag to a rocket, but that thing ended up coming straight at me and missed me by inches.
Very cool Dean. Good to have friends in the community that will go to the ends of the earth to see friends lol. Question for my curiosity, do you ever or have you seen any GI Joe ARAH figures (or Action Force) from the 80s there in Thailand? I know they're not really in your wheelhouse, but curiosity is what it is
Toy hunting is fun. Getting together with friends is fun. But toy hunting with friends is always a fantastic time, regardless of what you find in the wild. Looks like you two did have a great time. And the gifts Jason provided for you were amazing too. What a fantastic find that GI Joe figure was, definitely a steal of a deal for the price you paid. Looking forward to another visit to the Batman Cafe in the future (I know you'll be filming or discussing about it). Really need to get caught up on your Patreon post as well, as I know lot's been going on lately and I can't wait to see all the updates.
Thanks Josh. I didn't actually film at the Batcat Cafe this time as I just wanted to enjoy the experience with my own eyes as opposed to looking through the camera. I will in due course, showcase the items I bought from there. 👍🏻
Loved action man as a kid. Mines are still up the loft but I’m sure the rubber has rotted on the neck, might need to try the fix I’ve seen in RUclips. He looking great. Sure the pistol is a Mauser C96.
That is good love air plane I had a lot them in the 1980s great memories have a great week ahead.
Thanks. You too. 👍🏻
Fun day that was and what a store that is amazing and good prices

@@AllThings80s that’s awesome my man 🤙
I had a Saturday job in Woolworths around that time and just seeing the cover of your vintage catalogue gives me pangs of nostalgia.
Nice one 👍🏻. I bet you have some great stories to tell.

While I don’t collect GI Joe, I’m always looking for Action Force and as yet, have failed to find any in Thailand.
I had the same fireplace as a kid. Just bought a hot wheels ford escort rs2000 today
Nice one 👍🏻

Prop planes are great.
Yes, and I have quite the collection now. 😉 👍🏻
The gun is a Mauser. Its a german gun from.WW1/2. Its the base of Han Solo DL44 blaster. Its not a gun id expect a US soldier to be issued.
He would've been issued an elegant weapon , for a more civilized age .
Thanks for the info. I suspect the shop had a bunch of accessories lying around and just decided to pair them with this figure.
