What appeals to me with that particular scooter is it has a very high max load capacity. 320 lbs.
That puts it about 100 lbs. more than most other scooters on the market (Hiboy S2 included), especially those in this price range.
For those of us who are looking at 200 lbs. in the rear window, that's a nice feature for a scooter to have.
I wish all scooter makers would offer at least one model with an increased load capacity like the Swagger 5.
Way to go Swagtron. You've got my money.

I think a problem with your alt pick is the hi boy max load is 220lbs vs the swagger 5's 320lb max load.

I have the black version of this... For me, the speed and range are acceptable, as I am older, and don't venture too far, which is good for me... I DO, however like the Bluetooth feature that pairs with the S5 app on my phone... The app features show a more detailed speedometer, easier speed selection than what's on board, light controls, overall mileage travelled since out of box (unless you reset), cruise on/off, battery level, and battery conservation on/off... There's also a page that does trip and map distancing... Many scooters this price range (and a few above) _don't_ offer the Bluetooth connectivity...

@@Primary-cn2ht- Think so, huh? A bot would tell you it's all aces, and it isn't at this price range... It has its limitations... I just don't have $2K to spend on the kind I'd _REALLY_ like... Now don't you feel like a pack horse up on "Jack Ass Ridge" (?)

I bought this scooter after watching your review mostly because of the weight load it carries. My one note is that I can't figure out how to put the cup holder on it for the life of me.

What about a swagger 5 for $195 nib? Is it a good scooter at that price?

Got it for Xmas, and rode it for the first time today (never rode any e thing before) lot of fun!
I weigh 225, and only got it up to 13mph on flat ground. I already want a much bigger motor. Still, much more fun then I thought it would be.

Just my opinion but the hi boy s2 price tag of 500+ and the swag 5 being 379, and literally spec for spec the same, I would not recommend that purchase. The S2 pro sure, but that’s not even a fair comparison, as it has a 500w motor and 10” tires.

I never put stock into how far any e scooter can go, there is so much reviews on RUclips showing different scooters from budget to higher end scooters where they just never seem to achieve advertised range. Weight has a lot to do with it mostly. If you're 130lbs riding on a completely flat road/trail then maybe you will achieve those results.

I bought this scooter thinking it would be a good value, but unfortunately, I was mistaken. The kickstand was faulty, and the rear fender broke, which I had to replace. After only four months of light use, the motor and throttle needed replacement too - just FOUR months! To make matters worse, the company did not stand behind the product. You'll have to pay for shipping to their service center and then pay for shipping again if you want the unit back. I STRONGLY advise AGAINST buying this scooter. Instead, save yourself money and frustration by investing in a more reliable one. It's best to STEER CLEAR of this product!!

11 mile range is a big downer. These things should have at least twice that.

I don't think you've had one of these things long term. After about 4-5 miles your feet start to hurt as they're absorbing all the bumps in the road. I remember seeing somewhere that 90% of people don't ever go more than 6 miles on e scooters, and I can believe it. If you want something with twice the range of this, either be prepared to pay for a scooter starting at around $800-$900, or learn how to upgrade the battery on this, and then make an external battery. You can find videos on how to do it on RUclips.

I'm more put-off by the name "hiboy" than the word "swag".
