Not really, the game is so stats driven that a lot of classes will underperform with just basic gray and using green or blue will just put you in with people who can both skill and stat check you, so you pay the rat tax and try to rush quests while the rest of the player base tries to parasitically feed off you.
@@Froy_Oi I mean you be skill checked anywhere and considering one of these white Gear sets costs you like 500. you can get a usefull build going with that much for the 124 and lower (Not on every build but for quite a few) And you are less likely to be stat checked bye somebody who got 1 or 2 got drops ingame compared to in under 25.
Something that stood out to me on my fighter character is that you can equip a poor qual longsword and turn it into a sterling blade from the blacksmith for 90 silver coins. 90 silver is 30 gold and sterling blades sell for like 150 on the market which is a 120 gold profit minus the trading fee. You don’t even need to run a game if you have the silver coins on you, you can just unequip the poor qual and upgrade it, and sell it
i think the reason some of the white gear sells is because its used for crafting, thats what I assumed when I realised I could sell my kit, lightfoots wanderattire rivited gloves loose trousers all sell for like 50-60 or so each
simply because a lot of people don't have the quests complete that unlock the gear at the squire and some weapons or knowledge gear to get spells just make your life a lot easier in the dungeon, I remember two wipes ago I kept one entire stash tab for white/poor gear for normals whenever I just wanted to mess around cuz old base gear sucked since there was no squire yet and those few points in knowledge/right weapons can really make a difference; back in those days I started selling stuff I bought from the merchants and it made for a nice passive income, best part about it you can do it while working you can just alt tab or whenever am logging off/waiting for a teammate or whenever there's a downtime for me I just put poor/common gear on the market and it got to a point that whenever am NOT selling smth on all 5 of my characters I feel like I am losing out on money (which to be fair I am)
Honestly squire gear should be untradable. Seems like a weird way to play but hey, ill be sure to ge picking up those whites i find now lol, didnt realise they sell for so much
By the time I reach white gear from squire I'll have enough coin bags and money than to be doing this kind of dull grind, but I guess you can just passively do this while also playing the game instead of rushing extract
@@giggitygoo21 50 affinity with the relevant merchant for white versions of the crap items (except some weaponsmith weapons) and 75 for the rest of the unlockable items to become white
It's to min/max under 25 gear score lobbies. Some items are just significantly better than others even at the same tier, and white tier is better than gray.
A grey helmet that gives vigor, gives 1. A white helmet will give 2. They also give a small amount of extra defenses. This all translates into players in grey needing to hit you one more time to kill you than you need to hit them to kill them. It gives you a stats advantage against the majority of players and its not apparent thst you have done this either
My guy, you get way more money generated just doing troll and hitting piles. This guide on money-making seems to be exclusively focused on people who can’t do pvp outside of under 25 gear score normals lol
both troll/bosses and pvp are way too risky compared to this metod. you can get killed while doing the boss by boss itself or other players, and in pvp same even if ur good (the other guy is good too, another one joins up, a cheater instakill you, etc). This method is just safe and chill
it is very funny ive been wondering since when somebody is gonna post about it . white gear being more expensive than greens or some blues is crazy

i understand the white items, but why do people buy greys when u get them from the squire at the beginning?
