  • This is a review of the differences between the new Soprano Ice Platinum versus the old Soprano Ice. The platinum is twice the speed and and uses 3 wavelengths in the one hand piece compared to one in the older soprano ice.
This laser is suitable for skin of colour, its pain-free and we can even treat you with a sun tan. This means that your laser course doesn't need to stop in the summer if you develop a tan.

Good explanation. A demo on how your technique in the operating would have been very helpful. Personally, I think the treatments take to long compared to the candela laser treatments. The soprano is in motion and timed per area with multiple timed passes needed. Where as the Candela gentle yag is one pulse per area at 2 hrz, taking half the time to complete treatments. On top of that, the soprano is very stressful on the technician, having to do the treatment in motion at a rapid pace to the time needed.

I do believe it looks more stressfull for the technician but slower then the the candela?

How does the efficacy compare to the Soprano Ice? Have you noticed faster results with the Soprano Ice Platinum? Is it worth it?

Hi, There is a significant difference between the 2 laser. The laser window on the Soprano ice Platinum is twice the size of the window on the Soprano Ice making it twice as fast.
There are also 3 different wavelengths used in the one handpiece on the Soprano Ice Platinum compared to just 1 wavelength on the Soprano ice. This means that there is significantly more clearance of hair with the Platinum. Hope this helps :)

How does the Soprano Ice Platinum compare with ‘Motus AY - Pain-Free Alexandrite and Nd:YAG Laser by DEKA’ for permanent reduction levels and safety on dark brown skin?

Hi, thank you for your comment! Different lasers can contain different types of wavelengths. Soprano ice platinum contains 3 different wavelengths that target the hair follicle at different depths of the skin, by using Alexandrite, Speed diode and YAG.
The machine also uses ICE tech which effectively keeps the skin cool therefore making our treatment painfree and lowering the risks of burns. Not only that but there’s is a 100% safety record so extremely safe for darker skin types and it’s renowned to be number 1 in the world!

@@michellea9857 Hi Michelle, if it is very fine hair it may be hard to find a reduction. It would be best for us to get you in for a consultation and assess the hair in person.
