- The part of the movie "Dogtown and Z-Boys" that features pictures and videoclips of the famous skater Stacy Peralta. The video contains both skating and acting (yep). Enjoy!
I do not own this movie, and I have no rights to it.
Stacy Peralta doesn't get enough credit for his influence on skating.
Too true. Not taking anything away from Tony Alva or Jay Adams but Stacey also had a massive impact on Skateboarding which is sometimes eclipsed by bigger personalities.
One of the greatest Skateboarding legends and possibly the greatest Vert skater of all time, Tony Hawk would not have become the icon he is without Stacey.
not thee guy, or the most popular but still arguably one of the guys that kept skating alive. mad respect for him.
@Patrick Ancona without Stecyk & Peralta documenting it back then, skating wouldn't be what it is today, hater.
Peralta won his share of competitions like the rest of them. He IS a skater. Most ppl I see talking sh*t are usually mad that someone else has the skills but doesn't fit their grunge punk mold of a typical skater.
Idk man Peralta was the guy late 70's
Stacy was more mature than Alva and Jay in some ways
Smart man. Even back in the day, he was on another level to maximize his time in the sport. I have a hunch if you compared most of the gang now, he would be the most accomplished, still.
Your not a pirate, Stacy.
Back to the boneyard for you pal.
Ben Haney you’re not a high school graduate, are you?
@@paulrevere2928 You have not seen Lords of Dogtown haven't ya
Reece Shrock Yes I have, I did the volunteer promotions for Dogtown and Z-Boys documentary at Denver film festival. Both the docu and the movie were excellent and very well received!
@@paulrevere2928 So where did that graduate jab or whatever come from?🤣
Stacy had the most awesome hair ever
"And you Peralta, the bone yard!"
And then he went on to Start bones brigade .. I just noticed that on my infinite rewatch recently
Remember, it took the combination of Jay, Tony and Stacy, all different characters to make skating great.
I Don't see any hierarchy within the 3 pioneers.
Each brought their elements into Skateboarding and Stacey, even tho not as high profile as Tony or Jay made as massive impact and Skateboarding wouldn't be Skateboarding without Stacey,s talent and input.
The Bones Bregade was Stacey,s creation and gave us some of the most outstanding skaters ever.
Where would Tony Hawk or Rodney Mullen be without Stacey, s guidance along with many other skaters who became successful.
I got a skateboard for my 8th birthday in the 70's and it was my favorite present I ever got. After that all I wanted to do was skateboard and learn tricks.
I went to Venice High with Stacy
Original Z-Boy and the mastermind behind Bones Brigade, not to mention directing the first proper skateboarding videos. No surprise he was Rodney Mullen's idol as a kid and one of his mentors later on. Innovators like them think alike and we get only a few for each generation.
love peralta and the z boys
One of thee most important influences in all of skateboarding, whether on the front lines or behind the scenes.
Damn he looks like Spicoli lol
They actually went to school with Sean Penn
Stacy was my fav of the Dogtown crew; I resonate with him the most as I rode BMX freestyle back in the 80's & 90's
Stacy was the Heart of skating, Jay Boy was the mind of madness, and Alva was the Soul!
Actually Jay Adams is the balls! Lol dude had mad balls
I love the documentary and the movie. Ty Stacy!
Where I can watch the documentary ??
In Santa Barbara he was huge. I went to high school with one of his kids
Life and Skateboarding and Surfing was So Fun though very Young I am Glad to have lived Then. Thankyou God.
I remember playing Tony hawk's underground 2 & when Stacey's part came on the main character was like "THE Stacey Peralta??" I was probably around 13 at the time & I was like who tf is Stacey Peralta?? It wasn't til The Lords of Dogtown came out in theaters that I saw how big he was to the skateboarding world
Thug 2 owned bam world tour
Peralta is in the game? I dont remember that
@@joshuaa1605 He's 100% in the original THUG, but I don't remember if he was in THUG 2 or not.

This incredible documentary highlights the poetry and soul of skateboarding as exemplified by the Z-Boys and the Venice scene in the '70s... thank you, Stacy, for bringing it to us.
