@@Morana-mori super old sorry for the reply but adding some extra context! the two recordings are from a cd/dvd called 'the black parade is dead' which was released sometime in 2008. this was randomly uploaded to the MCR yt channel 6 years ago out of nowhere with no announcement in the middle of their hiatus so it shocked a lot of fans to get the full concerts in HD randomly!
Same, I'm so impressed with his performance here. and like I don't care if he's screaming or singing, there's so much emotion and I think he sounds good either way.
I think it's mainly about him loosing his breathe and not articulating lyrics well. But with a style he has, screaming and singing full of emotions its not so surpraising
One of the things I love most about their concerts is you can tell Gerard(and the other members) isn't lip syncing. He's always trying to breath, his voice is so freaking intense, and he keeps interacting with the crowd. And it sounds so much better because of this.

Well I wasn't at this show. I did go and see the black prade about 6 times. Not sure it's something to be jealous of if it has real meaning to you personally like it does to to me.
I just started getting into MCR a few months ago and used to be one the ones who were like "they are just emo trash". They are now one of my favorite bands and I have watched this performance before but after coming back to it after listening to all their music regularly and even learning a lot of The Black Parade album on guitar this performance is one of the best of any band just ever. There is no audible errors in any of the playing by Bob, Ray, Frank, Mikey, and James. As well as Gerard giving an amazing vocal performance as well as just showing so much stage presence. This performance is just amazing and is one of the many reasons MCR deserves so much more respect instead of just being called emo. Don't think many people will read this.

Never been an emo guy, since I was young classic rock was my thing and still is. The attention to detail and song structures that MCR used amazes me. It shows what can be done with great influence. Pink Floyd, Queen, Iron Maiden and The Misfits can be heard all over this album. I appreciate this band and am upset I'll never get to see them but I'm excited that amazing music exists that still has that old style that I listen to. This goes up there with Pink Floyd, Rush, and David Bowie. Congrats on getting in my catalogue of amazing music.

I went with my mom for her 40th bday. It was so worth it and they put on an incredible show. Seriously it was theatrical and amazing and everything we hoped for

The vocals you are hearing were not recorded live from this concert. There are many occasions where you see him pull the mic away but the vocals continue unchanged. Sorry.

He sounds out of breath 5 minutes in, but it's still awesome. Constantly cutting off the start of lines, ending drawn out things short, tuning lines down or having the crowd sing 15+ seconds, but I really don't mind. I couldn't imagine being able to do this album front to back in one sitting.

Well I wasn't at this show. I did go and see the black prade about 6 times. Not sure it's something to be jealous of if it has real meaning to you personally like it does to to me.
I just started getting into MCR a few months ago and used to be one the ones who were like "they are just emo trash". They are now one of my favorite bands and I have watched this performance before but after coming back to it after listening to all their music regularly and even learning a lot of The Black Parade album on guitar this performance is one of the best of any band just ever. There is no audible errors in any of the playing by Bob, Ray, Frank, Mikey, and James. As well as Gerard giving an amazing vocal performance as well as just showing so much stage presence. This performance is just amazing and is one of the many reasons MCR deserves so much more respect instead of just being called emo. Don't think many people will read this.

Never been an emo guy, since I was young classic rock was my thing and still is. The attention to detail and song structures that MCR used amazes me. It shows what can be done with great influence. Pink Floyd, Queen, Iron Maiden and The Misfits can be heard all over this album. I appreciate this band and am upset I'll never get to see them but I'm excited that amazing music exists that still has that old style that I listen to. This goes up there with Pink Floyd, Rush, and David Bowie. Congrats on getting in my catalogue of amazing music.

The vocals you are hearing were not recorded live from this concert. There are many occasions where you see him pull the mic away but the vocals continue unchanged. Sorry.

He sounds out of breath 5 minutes in, but it's still awesome. Constantly cutting off the start of lines, ending drawn out things short, tuning lines down or having the crowd sing 15+ seconds, but I really don't mind. I couldn't imagine being able to do this album front to back in one sitting.
