He had that look in he's eyes when he had the skill saw in he's hand that shouted I'm should chew the ever living poop out of the edge of your home Depot table but I won't. This time 😒
Love Martha as well. She really pays attention, asks smart questions, and seems to learn fast. Wouldn't be surprised if she went home and made a paddle
Time is money. Plus you need tools and material. Not everyone has a surplus of all three of those and so they buy work tables to do all kinds of things. Not everyone that uses work tables is a carpenter...
My work bench also came from home Depot but it was about 100$ in the lumber section. I could have built it with a miter box and a hand drill if I didn't have a chop saw
Maybe put "with Nick Offerman" in the title or description? Seriously he is the one offering all the content in this video and you can't even give him any credit.
I love how Martha Stewart, miss home project, is completely oblivious to how any of this is done. Also, notice Nick Offerman's disgust at her constant and forced attempts at product placement. If ever there was a model for a phony, it's Martha Stewart and being next to someone so sincere only reinforces that image.
Jonathan Rivera "home project" sums up a lot of things but woodworking is very hard to master and not a lot of people really know what they're talking about so don't judge a learner. Also if you get something for free from a company, you give them a plug to keep relations strong
I want Nick Offerman with me when the zombie apocalypse happens. He would be able to fashion us all zombie killing weapons from the available materials.
I had wandered if he really does wood work as he does on Parks n Rec. Now I know its not just an act. He's a Kool Dude on the show and I'd love to hang out with him and ignore each other as is his passion to do to people. One episode when his shop was out of code like everything was a danger of death he tried to bribe the inspector (Mark maybe I forgot his name) with an awesome strip canoe. I've wandered since that eppisode if he really built it? since watching the show I've quadrupled my red meat and egg intake.
Early on in development of the show, the P+R team actually kept calling Nick and he would repeatedly say things like "let me just switch off this saw" and other things to do with his shop, so they eventually went out to visit his shop and decided that they should put this part of Nick's personality into the character of Ron.
Phil Lowman indeed, he has published books on woodworking and has a large shop. I like his definition of a woodworker. “If you are changing a piece of wood or putting two pieces of wood together, your a wood worker.”
@@alexander.angell Might just be personal preference, but I find they're more energy-intensive to use on a lake, compared to dedicated lake paddles, but don't provide any extra power. The beavertail is more multi-purpose and can be used in shallows and sets, but I'd much rather just carry around a dedicated whitewater paddle and a dedicated lake paddle. If you're at all curious, I use the Modified Special paddle design from this paddle-maker: images.app.goo.gl/RGcbsL1WfPdPNWNg9
@@imgoingforawalk1693 I think it is mainly preference, my friend uses his beavertail a lot more than his ottertail because where we paddle it's fairly shallow so since most of the surface area is lower down it accelerates better and you get more power if you can't get the whole blade in the water. I've been meaning to make myself a beavertail for a while now, so I'll probably do that before going back to university. Haha I'm surprised you replied to the comment, I saw after posting my reply that you posted the comment 3 years ago. The one criticism I have of nicks paddle is that he had a big ridge in the middle going half way down the blade which I find makes the paddle less nice to use solo.
I am extremely turned on by Martha when she says at 0:57 "....and this is like $395 and you can really 'AHUHN'' (as she leans forward, bends her back and gifts, us the viewer with a melodic moan/grunt) and heavy duty". This is the stuff woodshop romance novels are made of.
i was reading ur post but i think martha just wanted in nicks pants doing the whole cheep flirting grunting & leaning etc & then some trying to be sexy about it lol
Nick Offerman cares not for your sponsor product placement.
It's a good love table

your comment was the only reason I kept watching! xD Glad I did lol

I love that even though he's an actor, whenever he's on talk shows, Nick Offerman is there to talk about his passionate hobby rather than acting
I completely agree with the Offerman masculinity appreciation but the noise he makes at 2:48 is adorable.

Only $395 for a work bench? Yeah, Nick's 'Wow' told you all you need to know about that. Built my own years ago, and all it cost me was time.
Time is money.
Plus you need tools and material.

+Broken Wave not the point man. Buying a desk is hardly an impressive or unique ability.
Tokath1988 Do you have any idea of how much Nick sells his own stuff for?
@@brottarnacke you should check his website

Shut up Martha... I'm here for nick.
I love this guys voice
I couldnt stop laughing at 0:56
"Back off, lady, he's married!"
Masculinity is safe on Earth as long as we have this guy alive.
Offerman did it Freehand, so is that the same as Bear-back on the "Love Table"?!? 😂
"Hire very good building company for your building needs... or don't, I am not a begger"

Id love to be Nicks "hey hand me that tool" guy just to listen to all his knowledge about woodwork...

Jonathan Rivera OR she wants him to.explain more completely to her audience.

Before we gon on I'll give a big obvious plug for home depot
+Cooper Hart Yeah but then Nick brings it back repping the Hardware store at 1:25.
I have a good strong tip and the strength to go through thousands of paddlings.
Ron Swanson! What a legend!
What are the measurements of that piece of wood?
id love to watch a full video of Nick making a paddle..interesting!!!!
Amazing man!
he needs a woodworking show
Wow, that was awesome. I learned 2 good tips in this video!
i love nick
I have an 8 foot piece of Western Red Cedar in my shop that has a paddle just waiting to be released from it.
It's been two years. Did the paddle make it out of there?
Was Nick about to say something else after he said love table?
That product placement was flawless
I bought plans from Wood Prix's plans and I made it very fast.
I want Nick Offerman with me when the zombie apocalypse happens. He would be able to fashion us all zombie killing weapons from the available materials.
Anyone can make a spear. And spears have killed more humans in battle than any weapon in human history.
Party Bot He's a lover not a fighter.

Like to see her wearing only that apron
God damn nick is funny
I somehow figured it was only a matter of time before these two ran into each other.
People who buy things are suckers.

Thousands of paddlings.
That's a paddlin'.
He is literally Ron Swanson in real life
Not really. But his character was loosely based on him
Jesus H. Christ Ron is an over exaggeration or Nick's actual personality
No, his birth certificate actually says Ron Swanson on it. Its true, look it up.
Nick OHferman 🤣
This guy looks like Ron Swanson
why am i watching this ...
+teed THC
+cristian brega that's exactly why I'm watching it
me 2 lol
Western red cedar is also what is on your house if it's shingled
I hope he feels bad about making a beavertail.
What's wrong with a beavertail? I mean personally I use an Algonquin pattern which is based on the ottertail, but the beavertail is good too.

Nick offerman is a boss. I lost a ton of respect for martha stewert. I thought she knew stuff
She makes the most useless comments towards what he's saying.
Ha! Guess she don't research her guests 😂. Do you have a shop lol. And that shop table was generic af compared to what nick has.
Did anyone else come here for a moana cosplay? No? Just me? Oh ok, lol
