I just love baleing big square hay bales, the machines just hoover the hay. Run the chamber pressure till ya pop a string then back it off a few psi. Bale cores like concrete that way.
@Frank Froese I do know that, driving a machine like that will only cause problems in the future. Clearly slower would be the answer, or get a higher HP tractor.
Get some proper weight in them bales. Sounds like 350-400kg bales where 600kg makes hard life for the baler but much more efficient on amount of bales to be moved . I don’t know the flywheel setup on the baler which also makes much difference
This hurts to listen to - a 222 PTO/hp JD 4955 might be adequate on this high quantity Krone 4x4 baler at 4mph. But, "speed takes horsepower" at 6mph+ gonna need 300 PTO/hp of an JD 8340R, or more. Diesel engines should run smooth - not variating engine rpm with the baler's plunger.
@@harveybauer4607 Wow go you, i bet you been waiting for that one time when you can use a cool internet word like "Karen" eh, you dont get out much, do you?
looks great and sounds even better. Long term though, its not great for either the engine or the drivetrain having such a large shock load imposed constantly on them. Slowing up a bit will cause less straw to gather in the chamber per stroke of the ram, resulting in a smaller force required each stroke and less stress on the engine and its components
You are correct as the contributors are below. Some people do not get that. I understand it looks good, sounds good but ultimately it's not good for the either bits of kit.
Here the engine died evertime the plunger on the baler has it's stroke, no stroke no bale, big stroke with out properly set up hart attack, buy a Ford set up right, no piston through block, r keen surging along ,while I'm in the next country baling away

Hit that thumbs up for this amazing baling setup! 👍
Sg2 cabs were the best looking by far
That plunger is taking some horsepower. You can hear every stroke.
Got her full and some pressure on
Yep just another under powered John Deere.
Nothing runs like a Deere, like when you kick it in it's ass.
If it ain't red get it out of the shed.

That may sound good but I'm not sure what that does to the engine surging like that constantly
Agree, and doesn t sound good,a lower gear?,wouldn t do it with my tractor!!!

Going a little too fast'! Loose the splitter,🤔
Can't argue that the baler doesn't have capacity
Whats the size and weight of those bales?

Yep, drop it a gear, and save long term issues.
You've obviously never owned such machinery, you are talking utter rubbish

Underpowered or too fast?

ABSOLUT THE KING
No doubt it surging like that is hard on shit, going to fast for the hp, working it to hard. But some don't know any better.
Baler too big, speed too high. Greetings from germany
Spot on. There would not be a problem if he went a little slower. I hope he was showing off for the cameras, otherwise he will have troubles ahead.
Very nice motor sound,interesting video.
Super 💪🚜🎶
If we had a Tractor that sounded like that it would be at the dealership the next day and or somebody would owning it one it next week.
The Governor is surging on plunger strikes inside the baler. It’s running just fine.

I have pulled what's left apart to try and salvage, and that wasn't much, even 20years ago when they said they were built for anything

I wouldn't call pure sound on a first place. Maybe reduce a speed a bit.
