Wow Beutiful 🤩👌
Since Haridwar is a holy & religious site, somehow I felt that foreigners are not welcome in this city; hence, you will not see many foreign tourist in Haridwar. But however about 30 minutes drive from Haridwar is Rishikesh which is also another holy and religious site, here you will find many foreigners which means foreigners are welcome in Rishikesh.
I had a wonderful time in Rishikesh. My original plan was to stay for only 2 days but I stayed 8 days in Rishikesh; I celebrated Holi festivals with the locals near Laxman jula and on Topovan main street.
Hello Charles ☺️🌻 Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Well I get your point and to this it's not only foreigners I would say but most of the Indian young crowd as well prefer Rishikesh. Over Haridwar since here mostly our parents generation or elder people prefer coming for darshan or even the last rituals of our closed ones are mostly done in Haridwar. But as you mentioned Rishikesh is far more accepting as there is more of a young crowd in Rishikesh who are open to various ideas of worshipping in their own ways. And I completely get that Rishikesh has that vibe even I went for a month and ended up staying there for more than 6 months. Well I am glad that you had a beautiful Holi celebration and a great experience. I hope you keep visiting this beautiful place in the future too.
Lovely video 😊
