I don't think you have to be starting out to get a bike like this. I'm 44 years old and I have been riding a big bike for the last 15 years but I'm seriously considering replacing it with something like this. I don't ride for maximum speed and besides it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike with nowhere to use what it's capable of (i.e. on public roads). I like the idea that this is something I could use to its fullest on a daily basis and on top it would be more economical and a little more simple to live with than a bigger bike. For those reasons I'm leaning towards the conclusion that less could very well be more for me.
you give very valid reasons that make total sense, daily riding through town or the countryside is perfect and will keep up with traffic, and considering it will hit the motorway speed limit of 70 mph along with the incredible running cost of cheaper insurance being a 125, and the amazing mpg, whats the point in riding bigger bikes ? to use one to its potential YOU HAVE TO BREAK THE LAW so whats the point ? simply to brag that you ride a 600cc or more, yes but this 125 can legally do everything the same while saving alot of money in the process.no brainer. and this yamaha doesnt look silly it still looks like a big bike.
I believe that you gals helped me make up my mind. My driveway, in the mountains of NC (that I share with others) is .25 mile long and is so bad I've have to haul my 03 soft tail standard out to ride. The driveway is so bad at this point that I can't even haul it out. At 66 and 3 heart attacks and 2 strokes later I still like to ride. I need a lighter bike. You gals helped me make up my mind. THANKS William Yelton
Well done on stepping outside your zone on this one. Helps knit the custom bike world fabric between us big cube oldies and the newbies who aren't yet licenced or have the cash for or even want big heavy bikes. Getting more females involved can only do good things too! 👍🤟😀
So great to see woman riding motorcycles and truly enjoying themselves..Love hearing a Ladies perspective on this very cool retro bike..Yamaha really hit the mark with that classic 70’s looking yellow scheme..Look fwd to more of you ladies..Stay safe riding and keep broadcasting the joys of riding to other females
I just picked up a new one of these to go along with me CBR500R. Honestly a great bit of fun. I love how you can buy bits to make it your own. I love classic looking moderns.

In India there is a still a craze for 1980s Yamaha RX 100 and RX 135. The main thing people like about those bikes was it's engine refinement, used to reach over 100kmph. Sadly Indian Government stopped it's production in 2002 due to breach of emission norms.

@@tomboyabit , the problem with many of these low power bikes is the they are not light when you compare power to weight ratios. The manufacturers tend to use the least expensive materials which keep the weight up.
am looking into this bike so i got some questions, first off all on other sites and platforms pple say this bike rides 140km/h flat so not downhill flat is this true, second is this bike really worth that amount of money ,cause the prize is quit high and third can this bike handle a second person without getting affected it by it allot? doe sit still got enough power for 2 to cruise around without stalling or needing to go to high rpm?

MT125 engine for xsr125
