I have been listening to your studies for Matthew and they have been such a blessing and help for me as I host my own Bible study online. It is pretty amazing to see how much God has revealed to you. In this chapter, I enjoyed seeing Jesus heart for His mission. He let go of His own needs to satisfy the Father’s call. Thank you for what your doing. May God bless you and your family, brother.
Fix our eyes on Jesus in the midst of the storms of life. We should be able to trust the Lord because we have seen Him work in our past circumstances. But then the newest "storm of life" is usually not a repeat of previous storms! We get shocked by the new circumstances, trials, persecutions, etc. Thank you, Luke, for the reminder of whose voice we listen to as we go through these storms of life.
Great additional historical facts and core message of "trusting and putting our faith in God no matter how impossible the situation seems to be, to let the power of Christ to work upon us". 👍🏻
I love tying in historical evidences from outside of the Bible (especially when historians record certain accounts and archeological finds further confirm the biblical text!) ! It enriches the study and is very exciting to learn about for those of us who believe! Also, those were great application points on vs13-23, very helpful!
I am not sure I am understanding that if Herod thought Jesus was John the Baptist awaken from the dead, did he not know they were both alive at the same time (Before he was killed) ?
