Hey Richard I’m 73 years old and have been fishing a weightless senko for many many years but I find that if the wind is blowing hard and you can’t find or control yo line I use braid with fluorocarbon leader either not casting or spinning and they suck it in hard some times and the hook gets stuck in there gullet and course you got to cut the line. I hate that about fishing weightless. I know having swim around for weeks at a time with a hook stuck in yo throat. I know how it feels if you’ve ever has a fish bone Stuck in in your throat.

I stopped fishing senkos because they tear up so easy... They were great when they were the only game in town, but now, everybody and their brother makes a better stick bait... And at a better price too.

Richard, I tried your technique of wrapping a jig hook, then putting super glue on the wrap and installing a Crappie Magnet over the wrap and glue. I haven't lost a Crappie Magnet body and have caught a lot of crappie. Now I need to perfect the gluing part - I glued my fingers together, jigs to my fingers, jigs to the newspaper, and every other combination you can imagine. Maybe less glue next time!

I've ALWAYS had success on my Texas rigs WITHOUT a weight. My solution to deeper fishing/current is always switching to a bigger worm on a medium light rod

Thank you for all you do, I went to the river, using you technics, and put 3 bags of fillets in the freezer, (in 2 days) Threw back anything not big enough to fillet. Biggest bluegill, crappie and warmouth I have ever caught. My wife told me, "You have got to fish MORE!" Thank you for getting me out of all that yard work!

Old devil's horse I fish them too good little top water lure catches big bass. I had a friend who asked me the other day like how do you think Richard Jean gets away with fish in that red cage in line in these highly pressured Waters I said well he's Richard Jean that's why now me I could probably take red cage and fishing line and put it on any one of my baitcasters I wouldn't get a bite but they like Richard LOL.
