Did your esc catch fire at any point. I killed mine with 3 s and a 23 tooth pinion. Yours has got to feel like the surface of the sun after doing this. I'm upgrading to an esc and motor with fans on them.
@@BashNcrash Thanks for your feedback. I am a bit courious because Traxxas says this y-cable should be used only with NiMh-Batteries so i was afraid to damage the LiPos. But if it is not so, then this is a great thing to improf power or driving time with this cables by useing LiPo batteries.

@@kingstonchingston845 No problem, thank you 👍👍 I'd be happy to answer any other questions you may have. Be careful if you run it on 4s, it overheats really quick.
I didn't have any problems doing short speed runs then letting it fully cool down afterwards before running it again but I wouldn't recommend it. I eventually burned up the esc racing it with high gearing and oversized tires on 3s. I used two Traxxas 2s lipos with the Traxxas series connector 3063X and put the esc in NiMH mode to run it on 4s.
@@BashNcrash any way to put a fan on it? I just hooked up 2 2000 mah 2s lipos and oh my God it was ridiculous! Only ran it for 10 min because I didn't wanna burn anything up.
@@HardinRacingHPS Integy has a fan setup for the motor and I think hot racing has a fan for the esc. It's really fun and fast on 4s but be careful the stock esc can burn up pretty easy. Stock gearing is 28/50.

Thanks glad you liked the video 👍👍 It needs to be put into NiMh mode in order to run 4s. The low voltage cutoff will be gone in NiMh mode but the thermal shutdown will still be active.
If i connect both batteries together and run them are they already in series? Or parallel? Or do I need both adapters. I just bought the parallel. It's my first rc and I got the vxl e revo 1/16. That's what this is right?
Congrats on your first RC! Good choice 👍👍 You'll need both adapters, one is for parallel and one is for series. Only run NiMH batteries in series or you'll risk burning up your esc or motor.
Makes sense that smaller tires made it slower. Good video. Just bought me one.
Sure does, thanks 👍👍 That's awesome! I've been having a blast with mine and am hoping to get it out for more speed runs soon.
I do the same, I will take it on a nice smooth road. Thank you and God bless!

Heh heh... Might have better control with a couple of those wheels switched around! The right front and rear left wheels are backwards ...

It didn't catch fire doing these passes but the esc did burn up while drag racing with high gearing and bigger tires.
Did the engine overheat?
Yeah it overheats real quick, I let it cool down between passes on 4s.
that thing sounds like a jet lol
Sure does lol I love that sound 👍👍
Very nice Video! Did you use 2 2s LiPos in serial? And if you did, did you use the y-cable from Traxxas?

4s on e-revo 1/16 😮👍

How much does this car cost?
Around $300

ok thanks
Is there a aftermarket esc motor combo that fits in there that is 4s capable?
Not that I know of but I'll be looking for one soon.
Which Traxxas Y connecter are you using for the two 2s lipo batteries?
It's the series connector 3063X.

It's all stock, there are no upgrades. It would work with the high speed pinion but would have a slower top speed.

this is with 1 4s right?
