Thank you for the helpful video! My NUC fan was running SUPER loud and the unit itself was too hot to touch. I figured the fan and vents needed to be cleaned and sure enough it was completely blocked with dust. Now it sounds fine. Thanks for the clear walkthrough!
Have a good day.
Glad to hear!
Thanks! I thought I was going to have to replace my fan due to overheating/grinding noise, but I just had to clean and lubricate it. This helped me understand how to take it apart. Thanks!
Glad to hear that!
Great video. Easy to follow 😊
Thanks for the walk-through - FYI at 04:40 - you can actualy take the ring clips off the old fan screws and re-use the screws for the new fan if you have a pair of fine pliers to hold the clips or just hold the ring clips in place and un-screw, as they're not tight so come off quite easily.
Very helpful, thank you! Nice clear close-ups of everything, including those annoyingly-tiny little clips 😄
VERY helpful-- thanks!
Thank you friend! ❤
Hi. I purchased an AX210 thinking I could swap my wireless card but that's impossible in this case, right? I have a NUC exactly like the one you working on. Thank you for your video.
Im planning to put 2 external 5cm usb fans, do you think setting them both as intakes from each side of the grill would be best? Or 1 intake 1 exhaust setup is better? I have the exact same model as yours.
So it actually have a fan cooling system? Just asking because i am considering to buy a used i7 nuc 8559. But dont know if those too have fans? build into it? Just going to use it for light usage youtube netflix browsing web cloud gaming. Mostly as a htpc
It seems to be the same fan😂 Not a better one. We all need a silent fan alternative!😅
Epic thank you sir 😁🤙
Thanks for your help!
No problem!
Is that a genuine Selectric spring-hook tool?
I just took off the ssd mount for the non m.2 seems super pointless to have, and can free some space up for better heat distribution. Also don't care for the sata cable and the other cable that connects to it.
I really really really hate putting those wifi antenna cables back on. Almost got to the point of saying "Screw it, I don't use wifi on this unit anyway." Finally got it in. Ironically the grey one popped right in and the black one took forever to get it in.
I followed your instructions but now my NUC wouldn't power up. Any idea what I should try next?
Throw it against the fuckin' wall.
Thanks for the vid!! Just a heads up to anyone that's thinking about getting one of these. This one product code boxnuc7cjyhn1 version has no audio out!! I bought 2 of them from the college surplus store here and didn't find out until I got home to set them up. I was dumbfounded to figure out why Intel would do that? Shrink-flation? What a crap move .... how hard would it have been to add an audio jack? I haven't opened it yet. Maybe there is an audio header on the MB, IDK...merry christmas!! Just make sure the one you get has auido, I can't return the 2 i bought. :(
Intel also replaced the premium aluminum case with cheaper plastic / steel cage combo to save the cost. This was done due to better value NUC clones start to flood the market.
Is it not possible to access the fan through the top part of the case?
Good video for someone with a little experience but if you are making a tutorial then I think it would be good to be a little more explicit for newbies. So, you say "I can't show you where these connect cause my hands are in there" then take your hands out and angle the camera to SHOW where things go. Likewise at the end, be more explicit about which holes the screws go in. The first time I did this, I accidentally put them in the corner holes and didn't realise till I tried to screw the bottom on. Or point this out to people as the unscrew them.
Thank you for the feedback!
Is also work on beelink s12 pro too?
look exactly my over-temperature intel nuc
What is the model?
looks like a NUC8i7BEH (pause @ 00:51 to see)
Man I’m having difficulty putting that bottom part back on!
