Journalist Nidhi Razdan retweeted the video, questioning why Sharma didn't carry her own umbrella. In response, Moitra commented, "She's too busy holding up her boss's pajamas." Moitra later deleted her comment on Razdan's retweet. The NCW has condemned Moitra's remark and called for strict action against her, while the BJP has demanded that she be removed from her position.
