This is a spirited defence by the MP Mahua Moitra. She is very forceful in her arguments. It seems she has got all facts and figures with her before putting any questions in the Lok Sabha. She said in the interview with the veteran anchor Rajdeep Sardesai that for unearthing the truth, she will speak to any person. What is wrong in that? It is the duty of any person to verify the truth before raising such corruption issues. Why did the BJP MP drag her to the Parliamentary Ethics Committee in the first instance albeit the Lok Sabha Speaker? What is important is whether there is any truth behind the allegations. Instead of investigating that, the person who raised this issue is being haunted. What is wrong in accepting some fancy items from a friend who is located in Dubai? Don't we accept and give certain items to our friends and relatives in our life? So, the whole issue is nothing but to shut her silent from raising issues. Unfortunately, no BJP MP is uttering the name of Adani! Why? In a democracy, people have a legitimate right to know such serious issues affecting the country's interest. Who raises such issues is not that important but what are the issues being raised are.

It appears according to Mohua that allegations levelled against her by Nishikant Dubey and associates are not supported by authentic documents and the allegations are serious. It is the responsibility of the accuser to authenticate the above by documentary evidence. Also in the ethics committee meeting Nishikant Dubey and Hiranandani could not justify the transactions. It was a concerted effort on the part of Modi govt to implicate Mohua and impose disciplinary action and this was so because of her firey attack on Adani and Modi pertaining to national interest.
