    Origin story! Both for incorporating the ShopSabre into work flow and for Spike in his alter-ego as a college instructor. What fun! Oh, how both have changed.

    Using a plasma cutter is something I wish I would have learned in my younger years. Very cool.

    Nice to see your progress . . . I am a member of ShopSabre Nation myself, taking delivery in a bit over a week, same setup as you . . .fist CNC plasma myself. I feel like a little kid at Chrismas

      Isn't it such a surreal feeling! SABRENATION haha. I hope you like the machine, I've found the learning curve to be pretty shallow. Let us know if you have any questions! Cheers, -Tay

    i love the camera angles on this video. You can see the line drive on the ceiling. kind of an old and new view.

      Thank you! It pays to have your talented filmmaker friends help you film a video! We are getting quite the kick out of a cutting edge piece of CNC equipment under a 100 year old line drive system that's still operational! Thanks for watching! - Tay

    Just having a watch of some of your older videos and some newer ones, nice content 👍 Just watching you plug in the Plasma to the reel with what looks like 3/8 hose? You really want 1/2" and shorter if possible to avoid the pressure loss to the head. If you have changed it since all good. If not give it a go sometime 😃

    I could have used a plasma for some of the project I have made in the past. NICE work!

    How do you like your Shopsabre? Is it a 5x10 sidekick?

      I love it! Super well built, very accurate and the customer service is top notch. Yes we got the Sidekick 10 with the Powermax 85 plasma cutter. Cheers! - Tay

      Cool, I'm going to look at that exact table at a shop in Las Vegas tomorrow. I'm looking at Wescott, Starlab, and Shopsabre.

    The nub are caused buy the table stops at the end the plasma cut it still on for the mili second before it goes off . the fix do a cut past setting in some cases lead out also . Or if you controller has a setting to turn off the cutter just before the end of a cut . This is a normal hypertherm delay it has a delay once it receives the command from the controller off command

    What is the cost average of this. Machine? Please.....

    • @LiftArcStudios
      @LiftArcStudios  3 года назад

      We paid right around 25k for ours. There are many ways to configure these things when you order to cut costs though. The 4x8 or 4x4 is significantly cheaper, especially when you get a smaller plasma unit.

    What is the prise of this machine! Any buddy knows? Please let me know..

    • @LiftArcStudios
      @LiftArcStudios  3 года назад

      This particular one was about $25k, but when it comes to cnc plasma, you can spend as much or as little as you want, its just about how easy you want the experience to be and how hard you plan to work the machine. New plasma cutter video coming soon going into this very thing so stay tuned! Cheers - Tay

    You should really add down draft to that table

    • @LiftArcStudios

      Actually, i opted for the more expensive water table because im located right in downtown Roanoke and the idea of piping all the smoke out a window or roof vent makes me uncomfortable. In this case, the water level was a bit low and wasnt capturing all the smoke like it does when at the proper level. Cheers, Tay

      @@LiftArcStudios Water keeps your parts cooler as well meaning they are likely to warp less.

    You are cutting in the wrong direction . In side cut CCW outside cut CW
