Thank you SO MUCH JILL!!😁😀😊🤗 So kind of you to honor my request. I am going to make 2 Swedish Fish box journals. 1 for my granddaughter and 1 for me. We both LOVE Swedish Fish! 😁😂😁😂 I made some papers, gathered some clothing tags, children's book pgs., stamped some pgs,tea bag envelopes, etc. I really like doing the 3 hole pamphlet stitch, but haven't done eyelets in forever. Maybe I'll do one of each! I really like the idea of the painted deli paper for the inside cover. This will be a nice "cheer up gift" for my granddaughter (18). She dislocated her hand 2 days ago, has it in a splint, when she woke up this morn it was so swollen, she said you couldn't tell it was a hand! Back to the hospital (not the best, they did nothing) when she got home she checked her rabbit, she was dying, so Catherine held her and she died in a few minutes! Poor kid. So this will cheer her a little. I will tell her to make it a rabbit journal. I say "jimmies". That was what long ago Massachusetts and N.H. natives said. Out here 😑 they say sprinkles. Have never heard " shots"! This was good for me tonight to get my mind off of Israel. There are no words. Thank you again, Jill and I look forward to the decorating video!😊
Hi Eileen, my pleasure it was so fun and thanks for requesting! I am partial to the Swedish Fish boxes and think I am going to try a few different bindings, think next one will be 3 hole pamphlet stitch too. What a nice "cheer up," gift for your granddaughter. I hope she is better soon and so sad about the loss of a dear pet. You say "jimmies," my friends and family in RI do too:) Glad to bring a little cheer with the video and hope we can have some more creative fun with decorating soon. Take good care:)
Howdy, Jill! Love love love this super fun and colorful... and YUMMY candy box journal! I ate way too much candy as a kid. Grandma saved her pennies in an old cigar box. My brother and I would divide them up and then head out to the store. Candy was only a penny each. Or 2 for one cents. I did love the Swedish Fish and the Root Beer Barrels and the Dots and those pink and white nougats and... well, just about all of it. We usually called them "sprinkles" or "shots". Didn't always care for them on my ice cream, though. Looking forward to some tasty journal decorating. Thanks for sharing! Blessings & Bubbles...ooo🫧🫧🫧
Hi Patty:) My kiddo experience was similar, way too much candy! Went to a penny candy store too as a kid. My dad would get licorice pipes, we kids thought were gross:) Fun journaling in these little boxes, used to get them at the movie theaters too, so thought memory keeping for something like movies (or streaming:) could be a fun idea. I'm enjoying catching up on your Big E adventures, lots to eat and see there:) Hope you have a wonderful creative week and happy journaling!
Hi Caroline! Thanks and yes so fun and easy, the boxes are cute to begin with:) Glad you enjoyed it and hope you are having the best time with your travel journaling!
My favorite candies that come in theater boxes are Reeses pieces and Dots. The original flavor gumdrops. These are fun and whimsical 🥰
Fun little journal Caroline 🤗 so colorful 🌈
