    Hey buddy, thanks for the shoutout! I really appreciate the mention. Haven't been too busy on RUclips, but now that the new studio is up and running I'll be able to stream more often. Cheers!

    Not a RPM although at first I thought it was. Love searching nickels. Nice shout outs. I was on Paulie Nickels site for a while last night. He's so much fun to be around. Love your channel and everything you bring to us. All the Best ~ Shirl

    I agree with William Baker. RPM is not possible after 1989. (Thanks Dustin, I wouldn't have known that without your vids) and yes, I believe it is machine doubling.

    There were no longer any repunched mint marks possible by 1999 due to changes in the production of dies. They have mint marks already and are no longer punched on to the final die.

      1990 was the last year of possible rpms

    So in searching my lincoln pennies I found one that is super messed up. On one side the date says 1980 D and on the other there are 3 more dates and one I can make out is 1970 backwards. The front and back is struck a few times each and I do think I saw a nickel strike on the reverse. Your thoughts?

    Love it ♡ and no it's not a RPM. But who on here thinks it is? Let's start a debate!! 😉😉😁😁

  • @wandlbaker
    @wandlbaker 5 лет назад +3

    RPM is not possible after an earlier year.(1989) So, RPM's were not possible after 1989 due to the way the dies were made. This is machine doubling.

  • @marilynchampagne7484
    @marilynchampagne7484 5 лет назад +2

    Yes it is a RPM. REASON IS BECAUSE OF THE EXISTENCE OF THE INITIAL "P" under the primary "P" mintmark.

  • @julianwondolowski1496
    @julianwondolowski1496 5 лет назад +1

    I think it is. I recently found one. Is also has strong doubling everywhere on both the obverse and the reverse obverse.

    It's not a repunched mint mark! The mint started adding mint marks to the master die after 1989! That's my final answer! Is that right?

    It can't be a repunched mint mark I'm not sure if I'm right or not but they stopped hand punched in 1989 but it looks like it's shelf like so it's machine doubling hope I'm right !!!

    Not , about 10 years too late since hand punching mint marks ended.

  • @rmm112188

    NOT A RPM!!!!! RPMs stopped in 1989 when the mintmark was put on the master die instead of the working die. so this is probably just strike doubling.
