빌리 선생님, 안녕하세요! 저 궁금한 게 있어요. Is there a difference between 통하다 and 통과하다? From my understanding they can both be used to mean "to (physically) go through something". I have a feeling this is incorrect but could you say something like: "창문을 통과해서 햇빛이 들어와요"?

I heard that if a noun comes before and after this form then we use 통한 >> is that correct?

통과하다 is also used for a general "pass" like "getting through" something. 통과하다 is also not used like 통하다 when talking about 말/etc.
