It's not working without Internet. So you can be att home with your WiFi working perfectly and if you lose your Internet connection the plug will not work. You lose all controll over your devices. It dose not have an embedded web server and cannot be configured what to do after power loss (it stays Off by default).
Dont buy this device! It sucks big time.. when i forts purchased it was ok but after it was self update to the latest firmware it start to give problems,, it only works when it want to works,, i think the latest firmware having problems with type of wifi you have, it seems to messed up if you have many wifi providers around you,,unfortunately there is no way you can downgrade to the old firmware,, d-link engineers need to work more harder,, the mydlink apps also sucks !! It seems ot work well if you have both data and wifi turn on at the same time,,
