Felix, and Nkunku should have come on much earlier. And I’m a HUGE Jackson fan who was 100% backing him last year and saying he’d become great. It was just a game for Felix and Nkunku - given enough time.
But I question the decision to choose Disasi and Gusto. Why not Veiga and Gusto? Gusto is unsuitable for the Left side, and Disasi can not attack, and we all know that.
I think you go over the top with the criticism. I don't see any comment on Palmer having a stinker today. You pick on Gusto, who's always given 100%. To be honest, Palmer is also allowed to have an off day. Everton packed the midfield and played rough out tactics. One point gained. We have no defeat in this period so far.
Tosin had moments - however his passes occasionally put his fellow defenders in bad spots. He needs to be more aware of the opponent press when playing out of the back. Not horrible but against a better team would be punished.
For the fact that whenever palmer is poor yall think felix will do better is actually laughable There is a reason poch never wanted felix and barca didn't retain him.
This game shows not just our teams naivety but also our managers. Lets not forget, Maresca is also a young manager. Made 2 crucial mistakes - 1. Wrong Line Up - Disasi at RB and Gusto at LB was a terrible call. Gusto at RB and Veiga at LB would have been a much better option. We couldnt build from the back because 3 out of 4 of our backline werent super comfortable on the ball. He needs to trust Veiga to deputize in the PL. Obviously we missed Cucu today. 2. Wrongs Subs & Too Late - I do not know how Sancho stayed on the whole game. Him and Palmer had stinkers. Noni and Nkunku were subbed on far too late to make any impact. Neto was the only guy in the front four that looked like had some spark. Sancho not producing one shot facing 39 year old Ashley Young is a terrible performance by him. Should have switched Neto to the left and let him run at Young. And because you played Disasi at RB you need Neto on the right to run back. Some poor choices all over. Jackson could have scored twice in the first half. He needs to finish his chances. Tough day but we go again! KTBFFH
Yeah the fact that he took neto out and let sancho to stay and dribble in sideline without gaining one meter against young was kinda hilarious when it happened 20 times in this game.
A very frustrating game to watch. Slow in the final third, Gusto constantly passing back, Disasi can't overlap, Maresca can't sub Palmer even when he is struggling. Only positives Sanchez with outstanding saves and Caicedo. Cucurella Missed.
I agree that Maresca should have substituted Palmer, but for who? Felix? All flick and tricks, no end product. If he finds it difficult hitting a gaping goal, how much more a miserly defense.
Is Renato Veiga injured? I'm never comfortable seeing Disasi in the team for EPL. OK for Conference League. Palmer needs to sit on the bench in some games or get subbed early when it's not working.
Chelsea need to stop the stupid yellow cards. Cucurella's second the other night was ridiculous. It meant that Chelsea played Gusto on the left where he offered little going forward and Disasi played at right back. Disasi at best is an average centre back but at right back he has nothing going forward, cannot support Neto and is risky at the back. Why on earth wasn't Chillwell given a game at left back so Gusto could play in his right position. Why wasn't Felix brought on as well. Sorry but a red box for Maresca.
Disappointing performance. Nicholas should have scored at least one goal. Maresca needs to make substitutions more quickly. On a positive note, Sanches made some excellent saves.
love Gusto but he really kills our winger on his side...poor decisions in the final third. really missed Reece and Cucu today why not give Veiga and Chilly a chance..

The league is pop sided and fans like ours are not getting to enjoy football because of money and FFP. You might want to start giving Everton some credit, we make do with what we can have against budgets like yours.
@RgjDj1878 I see your points and props to you for having to put up with that mate. But as you know it’s not as black and white as that, you don’t have a budget because your owners don’t reinvest back into your squad and when you compare your budget to teams like Bournemouth and Forest that argument holds very little substance and you only have to look at play style to see that. Your owners have done you dirty as a fan base because they’ve accommodated their lack of investment by getting a manager that will work with what he’s got, they knew exactly what they were doing when they hired Dyche, rinse the squad for every penny and put a manager in place that will make do with what he’s got and the result of that is smash and grab, negative football . FFP hasn’t done you any favours but when you had the ability to spend, all be it not as much as the top 6, but significantly more than the clubs currently around you, you spent poorly. Credit where it’s due you do what you can to get points, but stylistically it can’t be remotely stimulating to watch your team play for a draw every week. As a team props to Dyche, but as a club you’ve engineered your own down fall.
@ sorry mate but that’s the media narrative. Everton have invested in a stadium and the payments were included for FFP when they never used to be and the premier league just decided to include them. The owner and for all his faults went ahead with the stadium without having funding secured, well a signed contract but had a letter of intent. For £300m sponsorship deal, the sponsor got sanctioned and we were screwed and given zero special dispensation. We spent poorly on some player but who doesn’t. We’ve had to make money from the squad to pay for the stadium. My point is, ffp is designed to keep Chelsea where they are and Everton where they are. It’s a farce. Like it or not, you have a billions worth of players. We’ve spent plus £26m in the last 5 years. Work that one out.

He was involved and had a good game overall. People are so caugh up with the hype. We genuinely are not in the title race so we should not expect to be dominating the league

For me there were 3 major mistakes. 1. Tactics were not changed at all even after we saw how much weather affected the game and after we saw how Dyche prepared his team for our long passes to wings. 2. Disasi can't play as a wing/full back when we need creatability on sides. He was decet to defense, but there was nothing up front. 3. Palmer should be subbed after first half. He wasn't playing well and even more he was showing the frustration. Overall just weak performance for a draw. There was no movement, no cohesion. Reminded me many last season games.
Today we've also learnt that we do not have a qualified free-kick taker (like Trent), and nothing ever comes out of crosses and corner kicks (delivery is always poor).
Maresca should have done better today... We all know that Everton plays a low block & we needed our creative players to do the magic 🪄.. This game needed Felix, Nkuku in the 10 & Neto to run ar them with quick interchangeable passing... But also trying the cut to Nico ( only Drogba & Diego 💪🏿 trademark).....Why did he keep palmer & Sancho on for the game when he knew they didnt have impact.. he has to take the blame for this on subs. And yah Nico. Hes just opening thr door even more for another striker to be brought in . He should have scored.. this makes me think of Samu & Duran who can use physicality in such a game !! We need to make adjustments in January We keep pushing We are the Chels
Chelsea option A is Cole Palmer. When opposite teams build a strategy to mark him out, Chelsea moves to option B which iß Cole Palmer. Has Chelsea become a one man team???
The way Maresca handles the players on the bench, he will cause unrest which might disrupt our season. You cannot be making changes in when things aren’t going well, make them early. We had underperforming players in Palmer sancho, sub them off early and bring options like Felix, madueke early. And why the fuck will Marsala play gusto left back hereby not having any support from our defense to attack? Finally, we can never win the league with a light weight striker like Jackson, reason being he gets bullied off the so easily.
I think you put it perfectly. Title race is a pipe dream, but a good strong defensive showing is positive considering recent performances. That's a bonus.
everyone is scared of the fact that palmer haven't kept his concistensy these last games. Apart from two penalties against spurs and the goal against aston villa, he has recently been very absent unlike what he usually gives.
Joao Felix should have played this game. He is very good in tight spaces. Everton players would have been carded alot if he was on the field. I was surprised Maresca did not give him minutes. Also we need a top striker with killer instinct. If we sign Alexander Isak and Murilo we will win the League. Sell Nkunku and get Isak.
We weren't quick enough.. we didn't move the ball quick enough.... That being said.. goodison park is a shit hole and I'm glad we don't have to go back there.
Enzo was far better than Caicedo. Sanchez, Tosin and Sancho were lit. We missed Cuccurela today. Everton were very good in Defense Jackson did his best but trying to unlock it But Palmer wasn't there for his teammates as we build our attack around him.
Not the game I saw. Not his fault though. Apparently he has been told to be a second 10….he is not a 10…or a 6….only works as an 8 on a 3 man midfield. The guy with the reigns has the responsibility to make the team play. Enzo doesn’t do that. He is also a defensive liability. He is a role player in a 3 man midfield. He shouldn’t be The Man.
What do you mean?? SofaScore gave Caicedo a 7.5 rating. I thought he had a good game, lots of tackles, did a great job winning the ball back, and created some chances, his long balls are starting t to remind me of Xabi Alonso when he played for Real Madrid.
In games like this I think Palmer needs to be subbed off for Joao Felix. I haven’t been impressed with him for the last few weeks, and I feel like he’s been less effective as of late. If I were Felix I’d be very frustrated with Maresca.
Yep. Sensible and measured summary. Although today's result was frustrating, we can't get too far ahead of ourselves. This team is still growing and developing. There are going to be matches like this where the conditions are bad and the opposition tries to bully our young team. It's how they respond and stand up to it. We would definitely have lost this game in recent seasons so take the positive. The unbeaten run continues and to be in this position at Christmas, we'd have certainly settled for before the season started. The team and manager will learn from these experiences.
Sanchez has always been making great saves for us. His errors have come out of a few bad passes, and even with that, his bas passes have only cost Chelsea 2 points since he's been here in the arsenal game last season and even that assessment is a bit harsh because the goal that declan "plain" rice scored was not even an equalizer.
nkuku should have stared against a backline as tight as evertons one, we cant be scared to bench palmer, enzo moi sancho, sanchez levi and tosin were class, gusto is still learning. Not in the tittle race lads one game at a time!
I really don't understand how Maresca has avoided at the bare minimum a yellow box today. Sure the conditions were tough but palmer and jackson should've been subbed off by the 65th minute to bring on nkunku and felix. Palmer is our best player but he can always have an off day and keeping felix on the bench was just stupid considering the only real substitution we made was nkunku when the game was basically over. Sancho was horrid and neto shouldve been switched to the left when noni (who was poor too but didnt get much of a chance). Neto against grandpa young wouldve been some of the easiest 1v1s thanks to the pace difference. Conditions were tough but gotta hand it to moi, tosin and sanchez for getting us this point. On to the next one I suppose COYB 💙💙💙
The sub I would have made would have been Gusto off for Felix, with Caicedo inverting from full back, Plamer going deeper to CM and Felix into 10 to see if we would find more attacking options from deep.
Sancho was our best player him and young had a great battle tbf to young Everton can do this to all the big teams and we got a ckean sheet with sanchez putting in a shift and we're still 2nd top 4 is our aim this season
1 - credit where it’s due, Sanchez won us yet another point 2 - Nico needs to bury 1/2 chances and we win 3 - Gusto needs to have a bit of dark arts in him and take a touch with his right foot instead of shooting, woulda been a pen 1-0 to the Chels 4 - Maresca needs to utilize players like Joao in these games because if not today against Everton, when ? 5 - Axel shouldn’t be in the first team for Prem idc if you have to play Josh or Renato! He offers nothing going forward, liability in defence, and has a small footballing brain 6 - We are heading in the right direction! Although “we’re not in a title race” this draw feels like a loss.
Our defence and goalie saved the day. The attackers let us down and should have been subbed them earlier (especially Palmer). Well, not a terrible resut. We go again.
You can't let one bad game make you gives palmer a red box mate. I don't think felix would have done better. I believe Cucurella was missed today. I wish we had the win but it was a good draw. Up Chelsea.

We need to make adjustments in January
We keep pushing
We are the Chels
We need a lethal Striker that only needs a single chance to put away...
Chelsea option A is Cole Palmer. When opposite teams build a strategy to mark him out, Chelsea moves to option B which iß Cole Palmer. Has Chelsea become a one man team???
I thought you guys said chelsea ain't cole palmer FC anymore. Why yapping here for the sake of writing a comment. Go and sleep.
Its really annoying that Felix didn’t had a sniff today despite Palmer’s abysmal performance.
Felix needs to improve his team play seriously. He's more of a self centered player.
Viega would have come on for Gusto. He is a good passer of a the ball. Gusto kept on turning back. We also seemed to fear to play incisive passes
If a striker isnt bought as soon as possible, we will be wasting costly chances like what we saw today
Red box for palmer is very justified. Brilliant analysis GBFC
I think you put it perfectly. Title race is a pipe dream, but a good strong defensive showing is positive considering recent performances. That's a bonus.
jackson has not a bad game, compared to palmer and sancho he had a MOTM performance. ENZO F was amazing
Jackson was crap mate what game was you watching 😂😂
Its time Enzo Maresca starts treating Palmer like every other player
everyone is scared of the fact that palmer haven't kept his concistensy these last games. Apart from two penalties against spurs and the goal against aston villa, he has recently been very absent unlike what he usually gives.
He’s upset as he is still friends with the Man City players and knows what they know. Its tough to see your friends about to go down a division.
@@teenageapocalypseusa5368is this satire
@@esketitesketit9843 From my perspective - absolutely! From a Man City fan's - no.
Thanks for sharing always
Why play Gusto LB and Dissasi RB when we already have Veiga?? Jackson performance showed today that we need someone more lethal upfront 😶
Our Coach sometimes stubborn when it comes to substitutions,he is very late n not take out Palmer nd Sancho
We weren't quick enough.. we didn't move the ball quick enough.... That being said.. goodison park is a shit hole and I'm glad we don't have to go back there.
Draw away against an anti football team with no ambition who looked like they'd won the cup at the end and then win your next home game, thats football
@@-Hood- you are right, he was loosing the ball and take it back which is entertaining but fruitless.
Feels like a loss. We move. Coyb
2:44 Jackson hit the target tho. Didn’t score but it was behind him…🥴
We need Ben Chilwell in the lineups
Cole Palmer was so bad today
Cant be good all time chelsea are ok maybe but win leauge no
In games like this I think Palmer needs to be subbed off for Joao Felix. I haven’t been impressed with him for the last few weeks, and I feel like he’s been less effective as of late. If I were Felix I’d be very frustrated with Maresca.
Palmer Neto and Jackson should have all been off in the 60th min
Nkunku should have been given more minutes when it was clear they were going to sit back and the space was limited
Nico doesn't do well in these games
How Sancho managed to play the full 90 there is absolutely shocking… Felix not getting a run is also absolutely shocking.
He was way better than palmer
I you mean palmer mate!
@ Palmer was poor today as well, but Sancho had a 40 year old marking him and did nothing all game
Not given Enzo is crazy
He played so much better than everyone else
He has agenda against enzo did it now for like more than 2 times
Chelsea needs to work on Utilizing Set-pierces, it's so frustrating at how we worst free kicks and Corners for fun 😡😡😡😡😡😡
Chelsea needs to learn how to strike the ball from a distance against low block teams like Everton.
@@sammyrich8297 no one seem to have that shot power in the foot aside Caicedo
We learn Jackson is just not good enough and Enzo has his favourites plus he left it to late to make subs
seems like maresca was trying some new tactics and it clearly did not work out😅
Thank God for the draw and clean sheet❤
We really missed Cucu
We always have issues with Everton away, but we destroy them at home.
Trust me Felix is better in tight spaces than Cole palmer
Sanchez has always been making great saves for us. His errors have come out of a few bad passes, and even with that, his bas passes have only cost Chelsea 2 points since he's been here in the arsenal game last season and even that assessment is a bit harsh because the goal that declan "plain" rice scored was not even an equalizer.
Disasi on the right back can't work attack doesen't benefit from this...
nkuku should have stared against a backline as tight as evertons one, we cant be scared to bench palmer, enzo moi sancho, sanchez levi and tosin were class, gusto is still learning.
The sub I would have made would have been Gusto off for Felix, with Caicedo inverting from full back, Plamer going deeper to CM and Felix into 10 to see if we would find more attacking options from deep.
gusto is an overlapping fallback, does not suite playing in the midfield like cucurella, he needs to be outside
My family flew from the states and drove to liverpool and paid hundreds for tickets in the away end all just to watch that game.
Sancho was our best player him and young had a great battle tbf to young Everton can do this to all the big teams and we got a ckean sheet with sanchez putting in a shift and we're still 2nd top 4 is our aim this season
Tosin n Sanchez made a it draw n NOT a loss!!…CUCURELLA was surely missed!!
Red box for Palmer is some dirty work George
Why are chelsea still waiting for James.... ???
1 - credit where it’s due, Sanchez won us yet another point
2 - Nico needs to bury 1/2 chances and we win
3 - Gusto needs to have a bit of dark arts in him and take a touch with his right foot instead of shooting, woulda been a pen 1-0 to the Chels
4 - Maresca needs to utilize players like Joao in these games because if not today against Everton, when ?
5 - Axel shouldn’t be in the first team for Prem idc if you have to play Josh or Renato! He offers nothing going forward, liability in defence, and has a small footballing brain
6 - We are heading in the right direction! Although “we’re not in a title race” this draw feels like a loss.
I think we learned that Chelsea are not in a title race, but top 4 would be nice 😊
Our defence and goalie saved the day. The attackers let us down and should have been subbed them earlier (especially Palmer).
Well, not a terrible resut. We go again.
Cucurella missing out really had a great impact
First from Tanzania🇹🇿
You can't let one bad game make you gives palmer a red box mate. I don't think felix would have done better. I believe Cucurella was missed today. I wish we had the win but it was a good draw. Up Chelsea.
A honest review. 👍
Jackson is not good enough. Palmer has not been himself for few weeks now. Felix or Nkunki should be given a chance.
