  • Hydrodemolition is a concrete removal technology that uses high-pressure water to remove damaged concrete, as well as asphalt and grout.
Here's a short animation describing the hydrodemolition process and the steps in concrete removal.

So to use it we need to have a container of water pump and hoses. Where on the bridge we get the water for water pump from? How to deal with hoses? Put remote control back, take hoses, extend them, take remote control, go ahead few minutes, put it down, go to adjust hoses, back to control and again and again…. And how much it’s gonna cost? $200k?
Skid steer and attachment does it cheaper and gives way more mobility. Wtf container with water pump, find a water (where is it on highway??) and go adjust water hoses and all of that for overprice. No thanks

Finding water is very easy. Water hydrant? Lot of people use water trucks on shifts so they never run out. Hoses are easy to deal with and the pump being on a semi truck makes it a breeze.
