I can do relate to the “the clients that ask you for more favours” or reductions are the ones that mess you around, cancel last minute and reschedule. It’s a sign that they have zero respect for you as a professional and are better served elsewhere. Thank you for this video.

I've seen where people offer two options such as "full price" or "hardship price" (or low income price etc). The trick I think with that is to make sure you are truly happy with the lower price option. This feels a little more stable than "just pay whatever you can" which might be a little too loosy Goosy. And besides I don't think most people really know what a reading would be worth, so they would have a hard time just being able to guess at it anyway.
You could always have a preset discount price that's actually your real price and be brave and have your posted price slightly more, so when someone asks for a discount you can say, "OK l can offer a 15% reduction." (Or whatever it is). I think the key is that your very lowest price should be a price you feel good about accepting, unless you *really* don't care if you get zip for a reading.

These are all such fantastic points! When I was first starting with email readings, I really muddled through all this and tried a bunch of different methods before starting to settle into the model I'm using, currently. But so much of what you said outlined the very things I dealt with along the way... from figuring out what to charge to how to charge and trying to structure things like word counts (when I was doing email readings) etc. I find that I read at my best when I'm pricing myself according to the time I'm going to spend on a reading, though I have a bit more work to do around properly valuing the before/after time to fully prepare the reading for delivery as I don't really think about my admin time that much. Thanks for giving us so much to chew on here!

i disagree that too many cards are an indication that the reader isn’t skilled. i think spreads are limiting & i pull until my spirit guides tell me everything i need to know. if i need 30 cards to get the information i need, your read is going to have 30 cards. everyone reads differently

You are sooo right about the "hagglers" I learnt that the hard way in the beginning, place your price and that is that*! but it takes time to have that confidence. One of my students is struggling to break the doing for free to get business, but part of the journey. Thank you some new things to consider even for an old time like me xxxx

Thanks Ethony. A very helpful video. I do client readings in person and there were times (especially in my early days) when clients would blatantly push for more even though it was clear that the session was over. They would ignore my little cuckoo clock alarm and continue to ask questions. I can understand that, but I still had to find a solution. It really does teach you about boundaries and professional conduct. Looking back, I am grateful for the experience. I learned a lot about myself.

Thank you for saying that! I did feel some kind of way or scared that I “created” my own spread that is clear for me

    Hey (:
I've seen some want to do 10 minute readings, email readings, live readings, etc.
I've seen paid courses for tarot cards, for general tarot cards and extensive learning courses too. I've seen people say, and many agree, that we should look at them for meanings instead of trying to remember meanings. I've seen it used in psychology.
So, that all being said, if I wanna go by psychological spiritual nonreligious evidence based standpoint, and wanna charge $25/half hour, or like $15/15 minutes or so, how would that go?
Do you recommend a certain amount of minutes the most over any other set of minutes?
How would I go about the cards, learning the meanings tediously or going by what many like, of what I said of just seeing meaning in the cards?
    Thanks! 🙏🥴🔥👻💚❣️🔥🤜🤛

I believe she is referring to Kelly-Ann Maddox because I remember her mentioning Kelly-Ann in a past interview regarding one card readings and honestly Kelly-Ann does do amazing one card readings.
