Contamination was unheard of at the time because they didn't have the technology needed to analyze fingerprints/DNA evidence. Although you could contaminate the crime scene (IE damage/tamper with the evidence) it was next to impossible to contaminate the evidence.
@@M4A1BestGirl They actually did have fingerprint technology, and wearing gloves (at least in the London Police department) went back to like 1924. I'm unsure about when the US police departments would have done the same, though I reckon not long after.
@@SGFTI LA Noire does not strive to be very accurate in terms of evidence analysis. It's likely they just did not implement the rather tedious and daunting task of lifting prints and blood evidence since it would require you to return to the precinct, and it would take hours, if not days to get results. It's not realistic all things considered. A retired LAPD SWAT officer even shared his take on it, explaining that the interrogation techniques were probably the only realistic point in the game. In those days they did not kick doors in or touch the evidence samples with their bare hands. They would instead place it inside of a bag to preserve it.
Were the character faces in this game modeled on real actors? Because some of these look oddly familiar. The guy at 38:30 looks very much like Percy in _The Green Mile._
if more people had a wider attention span, this game would get the appreciation it deserves, the way it captures a specific genre in a specific time period, the score, the clothing, the language and accent, the political climate and average household, the narrator, even the cutscenes are filmed exactly like an old tv show, absolutely amazing
Thank you so much! Binged this over 3 days, when I played this for the first time I got stuck about 3hrs into your video , there was me thinking I was near the end only to show I was only 20% into the game! this game is huge!
i think LA noire is one of rockstars most underrated games. ign gave it some shit probably because the gun play was taking a back seat while a somewhat complicated but SUPER well thought out story was leading the game. honestly you have to be either very smart/attentive to little details and clues or willing to play the game multiple times to fully understand the story. IMO LA noire was a 9/10
@ yea I’m aware… rockstar definitely had influence over the game creatively though. Once rockstar took over the finances after Sony left, the game needed to meet r* standards and expectations, which were usually higher than team bondi’s standards

The devs went out of business due to the game underselling. The tech used to make the faces was incredibly expensive so they needed the game to sell way more than it did sadly. There was something in development a few years ago but it ended up being cancelled.
I don’t know if I’m seeing things but the robber at 11:51 and the soldier in the back at 6:16:18 are the same guy right? Either intentional or not it makes me sad seeing them survive a war only to die later
Well, surely its coincidence. No one will make different faces for every character in a video game, especially like the L. A. Noire. But still: you kinda right. Surely one of those street criminals you shoot in game served in army, and couldn't find their place in life.. So yeah. Sad.
Bruh this is really a movie lol . All you gotta do is get your popcorn ready & enjoy this & Good job Rockstar! 😍| I loved this game . Cole ain't have to die tho
Realism was never the intent here guys so there's no need to keep pointing out details. No need for expert analysis or breakdowns from other channels. It's called an homage, not a recreation; simple as that. Most people find the story engaging, which is the focus of the game. If you think the story sucks and has holes, that's fair. Just don't sweat the realism angle.
Am I the only one wondering where the fuck the whole affair with the German woman cane from?! Seriously! It seems like it never happened but they’re claiming it did!
There's a fix for PC that makes it run at 60 fps, although because of the 30 fps nature of the game, it will break some sequences, particularly when you chase the hobo in The Golden Butterfly, who will get run over consistently if you don't lock the game again at 30 fps, but that's pretty much it.
Wait do you mean you can get the game to run at 60fps on Xbox one x? Or are you just talking about the pc version? If so, how to I get it to run at 60 on the Xbox?
Contaminating EVERY crime scene one fingerprint at a time, I salute you, Phelps.
If you're gonna tack 'em for that, might as well put intimidation on the list too.

Is nobody gonna talk about how amazing the motion capture on the characters faces are in this game
Its the only reason why I looked for this Video lol
It was revolutionary
that's literally what everyone talked about since before the first trailer dropped, yes.

same!
I agree. Something like a NY Noire
I mean, you can't really make a part 2 with a drowned *spoiler*
Well how about a part 2 but this time with Jack Kelso ?
