    Great tutorial. I have been using this method for years using all sorts of different papers, like magazine pages, book pages, newspaper, cute bags, comic strips, etc. It's always a nice surprise when using them in snail-mail for the receiver.

    I’ve been making freehand cards or rather no -traditional sized cards & make my own envelopes-this has helped me make them a bit less messy. Yesterday I made one from two 8.5” x 11” copy sheets because the card was too big for one sized envelope (by 1/2”!) & too small for the larger one. Glue & tape & good to send! Was working on a deadline so didn’t think of the 12x12 paper I have. Nice to see how to round the ends...a duh mom for me! Thanks.💕

    I found your envelope tutorial very helpful. I'll never need to worry about finding a matching envelope again. If you use a cardstock and correct measurement, you can even use the envelope in the USPS mail. Thank you for sharing.

      As long as the paper is sturdy enough to stay intact, putting it in the mail should not be an issue. I’ve mailed my copy paper envelopes without issues, addresses just need to be clearly visible & nothing that can get caught in the sorting machines.

    Wonderful tutorial.
    Question: what kind of adhesive do you use on the final flap that gets sealed after closing ? If we were giving an envelope to someone for their use, they would need to seal the envelope.

    • @thegraphicsfairy
      @thegraphicsfairy  3 месяца назад

      Hi, you could use a strip of double-sided sticky tape. When the person wanted to seal the envelope they would simply pull off the wax paper strip on the tape. Hope this helps!

    Thank you for the video. Can you tell me what size of paper I need to start out with to make a A2 card envelope?

    • @thegraphicsfairy
      @thegraphicsfairy  2 месяца назад +1

      Hi, thanks for watching the tutorial. As Emily showed in the video, these are 'no measure' envelopes and the final size of the envelope depends on how wide you make the side panels. An A2 envelope is 4 3/8 x 5 3/4 inches so a sheet 8 x 10 inches will work fine.

    Is this for a 5x7 card

    • @thegraphicsfairy
      @thegraphicsfairy  2 месяца назад +1

      Hi Brenda, it can be tailored to any size card; just alter the width when you fold the sides in at the start of the process.
