I agree with others here who say you did a great job Jeff! Ken is a very intriguing CEO and Mt Bike enthusiast ....Since I started riding and racing in the Mid 80's on a totally rigid bike, I have come to appreciate the clever engineering that goes into Mt Biking . I was once a Shimano guy but I think that today SRAM has put them to shame. I use Sram exclusively as their clever engineering has passed many innovations on to us riders. Thanks for this presentation Jeff!!!!!

I can't believe you didn't ask him about a SRAM kazoo in the future. These are the things we mountain bikers need to know

Sram will be just fine as long as long as they continue to produce good quality parts for the non-racing budget-minded folks who can't afford $2000 and up bikes, which a lot of bike and component companies now have to consider, since mot of the population doesn't have $1000 in savings and don't even try. When asked what things look like in 2050, I'm surprised he didn't say ebikes and electronic/battery-operated components because i would predict they will become popular. Everything else is going wireless and cable-less.

Ebike are going to save bikeshop, because electronics makes DIY very unlikely.
I think gearbox are the future for ebike (like the pinion mgu) and probably for DH bike, since suspension sensitivity is increased and the drivetrain efficiency is less important.
Suspension optimization with GPS could be a thing. Imaging a track like Leogang that you could pre-programm your suspension damping during the track walk with waypoints, than adjust them afterwards during practice.

HOW ABOUT THIS!KEN...BRING BACK 3X10 DERAILLEURS FRONT AND REAR..AND WHILE YOU ARE RUNNING THE COMPANY...Keep making higher end 3X10 derailleurs that are at the level of the XO Series and a step above them for current MANUAL WIRE CONTROLLED EQUIPMENT...wireless bluetooth crap isnt necessarily safer and better than manual cable controlled...IT STILL BRINGS YALL PROFIT KEN.

You should have asked him why he and his company are totally incapable of addressing customer concerns regarding defective SRAM products.

Fantastic episode. But Jeff seems more qualified to be the CEO of Sram. IMHO.

Unbelievable the CEO on gearbox. If he sits back too long on this another company will continue fine tuning the gear box and leave SRAM in the dust.

Seemed like a dodged question to me. If they're working on something, it could be hush hush for now.
