They are at home ordering pizza delivery or wasting their time or wishing it was them that just won the championship and Kelly is a new proud owner of a ring that says she is part of the team that just won 4 national championships in a row. All of you worked your butts off and you do deserve the title. Congratulations, all the way around., It was a rare pleasure watching you play.

This is arguably the greatest run of domination ever displayed by any sports team . Certainly any modern sports team. From 2013 these girls have won 7 titles. Only the 60s Celtics, Wayne Gretzky, MJ, and the Yankees have better cases.
From 1995 to 2016 the UConn women's basketball team won 11 national championships with the last 4 being consecutive in 13, 14, 15 and 16. What OU softball has done is almost on that level, which is still insane. Our ladies did a fantastic job and are in good shape to go for 5 next season.
Honestly? Not really. Softball is a super top heavy sport and OU spends a ton of $ on it. They’re the football Alabama of softball if that makes sense & have been for way longer than 4 years.

Congratulations Oklahoma 4 Peat Champions. I got to watch the two amazing games against Texas and I was cheering for ladies. I coached a Canadian military women’s team and we beat the French National Team in back to back years to win their tournament. So I can only imagine how you feel You ladies have an amazing team and the future looks bright for the team. It was the most enjoyable consecutive sports night I’ve had in a while. Looking forward to a HANDFUL next year. CONGRATULATIONS.
A couple thoughts on the game... Anyone think Texas was recording the baserunner in slow-mo to challenge the lead off? How else do you notice if she leaves a fraction of a second before the ball leaves the pitchers hand? I still can't wrap my mind around what Mia Scott was thinking to get tagged out at first. Shortstop was at second and second baseman was next to her with the ball. There was no way she was getting to second, and to end the top half of the inning, down by 2, with 2 runners in scoring position. Texas lost all momentum afterwards.

Texas had at least one assistant coach dedicated to watching the base runners, specifically to help decide on weather to challenge or not
