I don't know for sure but I don't think so. I think there will be too much air/space between the numbers and card surface for the sticker to adhere correctly and for a long time.

You can’t. Tried it it won’t work. 1) The machine might not read it 2) it gets too thick to go in
I'm putting one on the back to test it but tbh I only use my card to paywave / NFC purchaces (and online) so it doesn't matter
