Disposable grills are very popular in the UK, you can pick them up between £2-£5 ($3-$7) people are always using them at beaches and parks. A real BBQ is a lot better but I guess people just like the convenience and small size
I feel like the population in general isn't all that sensitive to that lighter fluid taste. It's similar when people over-use butane torches on food for aesthetics and it ends up covering it with that vague lighter fluid taste... I find that instantly noticeable but many others don't seem to notice it.
it must be so lucky to have real grill to use... 90% of ppl here dun have a grill because we live in apartments and to have a "BBQ" we have to Book a bbq pit in a public area, which is mostly near the beach, and it is dirty and rusty and have to lug along your own fresh grill plate and aluminum foils to cover those rusty and dirty grills..that is rusting away in the open air and rain.. and bring own your charcoals and starters.. (oh and we dun have a smokey joe or charcoal starter chimmey) and then your bbq tongs and food and sauces from your car in the car park 300m or 400m away to where your "booked BBQ pit" is and then clean up the area and bring all the stuff back to your car later.. i guess this kit makes it easier for a "quick" 1 man or 2 man BBQ.. for maybe a couple of burger patties or sasauges/wings.. than you just throw the whole kit into the rubbish bin when done.. and you dun need to book a pit.. just find a place to sit down.
Wow Dr. Disposable Grill, you’ve saved the planet 🌍 again!!! No , I would never buy one, but think you EJ could go too a dollar store of your choosing and throw together a disposable grill for less than $20 that you could grill an edible Chop on. In fact that’s what I want too see, a $20 Dollar Store Challenge!
Those disposable aluminium grills do also leave lighter fluid taste. Nothing really beats real charcoal, or at least briquettes lit with a something nicer.
I've grown up with lighter fluid on my charcoal ao it wouldn't bother me, however that is a tiny grill. I would need 2 or more for even just hot dogs and burgers for more than a few people. At that point they would not worth it. Cool innovation for single or a couple day packer/campers though.
I grew up with lighter fluid and never have tasted it in the food. However I've ate at other people's house that used it and could taste it. I think you really just have to burn it well. I use a chimney now anyways and no fluid anymore.
Thanks for this. I got one of these disposable grills at a garage sale but wasn't sure if I wanted to use it. I HATE lighter fluid taste! I am not going to use it. Going to check out your other videos to see how to cook at the park without the taste of lighter fluid. Um, what video would you recommend?
Perlite, lighter fluid and cardboard, come on America we don’t need more trash in our landfill. Use the 20 bucks to the buy a steak instead of pork. Better taste and no waste. ; )
First I thought this was a joke and than I realized you are just LAZY to properly ready the instructions: 1- those are Bamboo brisket and uses not a single drop of any lighting fluid, so the bad taste was probably that yucky souce you added to the meat 2- the "foam" is VOLCANIC stone as said on the instructions creating good isolation from any "flame" ensuring it will not burn the cardboard 3- It is actually environmental friendly since it uses no metal, everything is biodegradable or reused by the nature (like the volcanic stone) and can be buried in any garden as it will be fully safely decomposed in 6 months. Also the bamboo brisket is the most safe for the environment since the plant grows really fast (up to 1 meter per day) and the smoke produced has lower CO² emission Next time, do stick to the outdated metal barbecue grills since you are to slow to anything more evolved than that.
You can use instant charcoal and not experience that flavour. Sounds like you are throwing the food on too soon and not properly stirring the coals. In fairness you can't in that THING
On sale they are $15 a piece? WTF? . He used 4 just for a dumb simple American bbq, thats $60 dollars just on a disposable BBQ grill that probably won't even be enough heat to food for a whole family. I guess these grills are designed for the rich idiots who like to burn money 🤔
Great Video as always,, well i tried it out also, and have to agree its a good looking grill, but i didnt have the fuel taste at all ?? it costed me just under 10 $. and this is definetly the grill i would use out in the nature,, i found their website here www.casusgrill.com

I wonder if letting it sit for extra time while reaching temp would burn off the lighter fluid taste?
He did leave it for almost twice as indicated, didn't he? I like this thing anyway!
There are NO lighter fluids added to casusgrill. This dude is just unable to cook other than using metal.
i enjoyed the video, this is very cool. i find it useful for many porposes.

Solar grill review next, better tasting then lighter fluid? Even its make of cardboard also.
It is actually Danish and the lighter fluid taste is a common thing in barbucue coals in Denmark. It seems that Danes don't that.

Not a bad idea
The dollar store by me has stainless steel bread pans, steel oven racks, bags of charcoal, and sometimes smoker chips
what's the point of a grill without the smokiness ?
Want to try it out ..
Mmmm, pork chops with a side of asbestos. Deelish!

But how is it for drinking whiskey?
You've made my day again... and again... and again

vinstinct yeah in the time I would have to wait to burn off the smell, I could have lit a chimney of non-lighter fluid charcoal. Not worth it
Its okay bro as long as you guys keep making vids everything is ok in this world.
Awesome video as always. Thanks for sharing man.
Can you actually smoke food on a Smokey Joe?
oh why yes! You can! I can show you in a future video
@@RedCowEntertainment That would be awesome, I've wanted to try out smoking but I don't really have any room for a large grill or smoker.
That was really helpfull, also enjoyed your video a lot, Thanks!
EJ = environmental noble prize nominee
i am finally recognized for my great works
The side are apparently insulated with a volcanic rock.

Is there an address i can send a product for EJ to review?

Enjoyed vid as always

I love them on my hockey team, but they can stay the f away from my bbq.
I fail to see what's so sustainable about a single use grill made from chopped down trees. Pretty rubbish product, but always enjoy your videos EJ!
But didn't you see the green leaf on it? Saving. The. Earth.
The cardboard could be made from recycled material.
The #1 grill choice used by virtue signalers

Not worth the money or the hype. The bamboo literally caught on 🔥 straight fire hazard
The sound of the videos is not good
❎. 💎
