The controller that turns L and R into buttons was probably intended to be used with fighting games, where L and R are typically used for stronger versions of the a/b x/y punch/kick attacks.
This is a fun way to show some weird game controllers. I like the presentation of this because you demo them with more than one person to give me a better idea of if the weirdness added anything. Honestly I could go for a longer and more in-depth bit of coverage of this.
I reckon the twisty controller is to be held like a normal pad with the left hand while you use three fingers to play the button side with ur thumb underneath. Sort of like how fightsticks are used in street fighter 2 arcade machines
Love the explanation on how the multi tap works. Loved seeing the Jetfighter, been wanting that a long time, even more after seeing the triggers I've got a tyco power plug for the genesis but didn't realize there was an snes one, gonna have to look for that. The "wacky" one was meant for you to use your 3 fingers on the six buttons like you would an arcade machine bc it was meant to be used for Street Fighter 2
Man, that Capcom Pad Soldier was my farken FAVORITE CONTROLLER EVER!!!... and I've used alot of the game pads you've got there... but I had them for the Sega Genisis, being the better of the two consoles :)
Had that power play box, was neat for macros. ASCII always put out some interesting controllers. I loved that "RPG" controller they made with the central d-pad for lazy single handed use.
The Capcom Soldier's a pretty great pad though it looks weird. Just lock your fingers into the grip and follow the ergonomics it's using and you're good. It's mainly meant for fighting games though.
@8:37 When the nerds don't even know the 6 button pad is for fighting games like Super Street Fighter II where you have index, middle, and ring fingers on top of any of the 6 buttons at a given time for light, medium or heavy attacks and they use it on a racing game like Mario Kart....fucking sad....
why? just because you're a piece of shit who likes to shit on other people doesn't make others stupid, it makes you a bigger piece of shit, whos to say they have or haven't played many fighting games? you intolerable prick
So glad to have found this channel.
I love that Junt's got an awesome SNES collection. Been big on SNES and N64 collecting myself.
This is great, I just started making new "weird" controllers for the NES. looking for inspiration and found it!

The craziest controller has to be the ASCII keyboard controller for the GameCube.

MORE SNES!!
Great episode.
Would have also enjoyed a video where Nina buys all the easter themed food items she can and everyone tastes them.
We did in fact think about that, but at least at Target, there was little in the way of Easter "flavored" foods - mostly just recolored food items.
I had the power plug attachment. It works well if you know how to use it. I used mine all the time. Wish my SNES, games, etc hadn't gotten stolen 😭
You had it in the table but you didn’t show off the mouse.
"I was 6...."
FU Sadek.....
