Even if you don't make the goal I would love to see this series continue. It is really great compared to spending the 1000's for collections etc on the main channel.
It really is this easy. And the amazing deals are out there. I have had them all spring and summer. Plus the freebies out there. In the last month I have had $836 in sales from free items and another $1200 all listed in the last month. plus at least another $400 unlisted. Free piles.
You guys are right. I have been selling for 4 years now and work midnights so it is a perfect 2nd job. It funds my collection and half I save and half I spend. I spent sometimes 20 hours a week but sometimes I spend 5 hours a week. Have two kids and my time is limited but love it I can do it whenever I want. But need to list more consistent. Great video
@PandaWaffleHD you should just start small and what you know the best. I source at thrift stores, garage sales, and a 2nd store by me. 2nd and charles. Garage sales are the best profit margin, but it is hard to find good inventory. But I love thrift stores, and that is where I started. Also, I have done some Facebook marketplace, but that is pretty hard and really competitive. Good luck and hope this helps bc wouldn't if had half of my games without reselling.
I love this idea. I started my Ebay business in 1998 with $20...the most amount of money I could afford to lose. I only spent profit on new items. I was handicapped with slow internet access which was AOL dialup. It constantly drop connection and you had to redo listings constantly. I would love to restart my business in today's marketplace. Fun, fun, fun.....so much money to be made.
One thing I know about the opinel knives is that they make a well made kids training knife…from what it looked like you may have had one in there…so that is something you might can look to add to descriptions because parents of adventurous kids are looking for those kinds of things…great video and pickup!
Great job guys! I’d be apprehensive to drop almost $300 at one sale. But to find all those nice knives and tools is definitely worth it. Have you guys considered going to thrift stores as well?
Those sweaters sell for about 35-40 and more depending on the year. There is actually a year on those government tags so its really easy to determine if they are vintage.
wow, the strap box you find, i hope you took it , my god, i explain. i went on multiple shop of army and they all sell some army bag without strap, i dont know if its done by reason but this treasure you find add a piece of value for those. i bought one of those bag and looking for a strap ;-)
I'm going on 3 weeks since starting, and so far I have profited about $12....so it's uh...not the best. Hoping it will pick up soon. Just going to keep putting the effort in!
You can do it! Alot of us full time folks started with almost no nothin, and we learned what we know from youtube and experience. It's a histle, you'll have to grind, but you CAN do it
@@L-Jay1147 Look for free stuff at yard sales, and things you can buy for a quarter and sell for $10 + shipping (they're SUPER common). For packing supplies, walmarts will often save boxes for you if you call at night and commint to picking them up early in the morning (last time I did it I had to grab em by 6am), just ask for smaller boxes (health and beauty section is best). For packing paper, use sale ads and newspapers that are already laying around your house. All you need to buy is a $1 roll of packing tape from the dollar store. You can also just ask the folks at the post office to weigh your stuff before hand, or ship everything priority flat rate (free boxes/envelopes). If you dont have a printer, print labels at the library. In the mean time, for instant cash flow, if you have a car you should deliver food (pizza is best), if you dont have a car then waiting tables pays okay but it's way higher stress. You're in a rough patch, I've been there, but keep your head up and get to grinding; you'll get past it :)
Hey SkyGuy and Brother Dave, I was curious about something. If you're charging shipping to the buyer, why are you deducting it from your total when you ship it out?
Only problem with old military accessories is that some things cant be sold on ebay or FB Marketplace due to the terms and agreements...i got flagged for selling same stuff so look into it a bit to see if it is not forbidden
Ive been watching you guys for literally years now, since early covid. I have enjoyed all your insights on ebay and all of the tips, and I thank you. One thing.... Is it necessary to refer to Dave as Brother Dave in every instance? I get it all of you have found god and have made that your thing. I don't mean to be a downer. But was wondering the reason he insists on being called "Brother Dave" since the early days, Dave can be Dave without the brother, we'll respect him regardless?
I really wqnt to start with selling on ebay, but since i live in denmark its actually pretty weird to list stuff. Is it better to list it via the german ebay site becausr measurements are in cm and not inches. And also still list it in english?
I would list on German ebay and allow for international shipping if you do english. Not sure what's best option for you in German languge or English. I assume more buyers speak English tho and would try English first and test the water.

CASE knives are made in Bradford, Pennsylvania. My hometown 😁 collectors are all over the world. They gave lifetime guarantees too

you have to wait 6 days for something to even to be listed, when you need that cash flow i would recommend slamming it all at once
Leatherman has date inside handle fold out tools to see.not sure if all have
I love this series
In the last video you said the buyer was cool with the calculator mishap?
Most of that surplus gear isn't worth much if anything. Tons and tons and tons for sale everywhere

I just lost my job the eBay starter kit would change my life forever for the better

That hourly rate about to blow up.
Could do some drop shipping to make up for lack of time. Just to make the numbers eBay wants.

I listed a video game on ebay for $35 or best offer. I was offered $10. After fees and shipping I would get maybe $3.25.
