The visual at 4:57 stuck out to me; the main character, who’s clearly a child/teenager, absolutely tiny on the table that’s meant to restrain an adult. A _child_ being tried and put to death as an adult would be. The visual looked to be blatantly calling out the justice system & I thought it deserved a special mention.
@@Tracequaza I’m talking about the U.S. because that’s where I’m from. While minors can’t be charged with the death penalty, per the ruling of the Roper v. Simmons, minors in America _can_ still be tried as adults (the nuances of which are particular to each state). I interpreted the scene as not _specifically_ criticizing the death penalty, but rather the myriad of ways in which a child can still have their entire life ruined by the legal system. These would include issues of a broader scope- CPS, custody battles, juvie, criminal records, tried as adults, etc. Just calling the legal system what it is; broken.

identity seems to be a very important/reoccurring theme in the world of bad kids. not only was it foreshadowed in the very first seconds of the video but it seems to be something super enforced given the punishment (albeit it was chosen at random) was death. something also i noticed were the guards all wear white masks, it could be for the sake of safety but also sorta dehumanize the government in a way, sorta saying how the government could be anyone or anything. again, identity being present. even after the situation with escaping death row, roxy could never return to her old life, exactly how jazzy had said. basically the government is like held together by two pieces of string (not very different than the us government)
I love that "Bad Kids Stuff" is what societal systems seem to teens, even if the notions they have of how they work are absolutely and completely off, even if they seem completely unfair and arbitrary (and we as adults know they aren't and that it isn't that simple) it captures something we've all felt at least once while growing up.
This is like my favourite style of animation I've ever come across, not only the literal style in which it is drawn, but the very essence of what is conveyed through this medium by vewn, the artist. Speaks to me like nothing else, creds to everyone involved, honestly
Man, I'm loving the Bad Kids Stuff series. I do find it kinda funny how it goes from "It's my birthday, let's break laws" to a legal drama, yet somehow the protagonist isn't being charged for the crimes they committed in the first Bad Kid's Stuff, but for something else entirely. Hey, maybe this is a prequel. Would explain a lot, like how the protagonist met the person with the glasses, and why they're wearing the tank top and the mask in the first Bad Kid's Stuff.
Not sure if you’ll ever read this, but thank you, vewn. Thank you for your art and animations. I've been feeling down about my living situation, lack of a job, and general state of the world for the past several weeks, and the places I'd normally turn to for happy escapism weren't working as well as they used to. Watching your videos has reminded me that it's okay to admit that the world sucks. Because sometimes, it is just comically unfair. Thank you for reminding me that I don’t have to act numb to it all the time. Lowkey I think these videos have helped me with trauma I didn’t even know I had. So yeah. Thanks.

Спасибо, ваши работы помогают мне найти силы для завтрашнего дня, как и всем людям понимающим что происходит, живущим в диктатурах, гетто или иных безумных местах.
identity seems to be a very important/reoccurring theme in the world of bad kids. not only was it foreshadowed in the very first seconds of the video but it seems to be something super enforced given the punishment (albeit it was chosen at random) was death.
something also i noticed were the guards all wear white masks, it could be for the sake of safety but also sorta dehumanize the government in a way, sorta saying how the government could be anyone or anything. again, identity being present.
even after the situation with escaping death row, roxy could never return to her old life, exactly how jazzy had said. basically the government is like held together by two pieces of string (not very different than the us government)
3:42 You don't know how hard I laughed at this one 😂
why do they have a camera in the bathroom stall tho💀

2:15 this can't seriously be nightmare fredbear from the popular five nights at freddys franchise specifically the fnaf world design
ALL OF YOUR ANIMATIONS ARE A CRAZY DREAMLAND IN SUCH A GOOD WAY
Легенда вернулась.Обожаю тебя!❤Твой стиль потрясающий!Спасибо за работу!
"societal systems"
Back the blue until it happens to you and everything and everyone in-between!

“Absolutely and completely off”
No
this is exactly how things are today under late capitalism
The 藍藍路 with Scarlet Flanders melody is everything… Nostalgic chaotic childhood flashbacks🫨🫨🫨🫨
Love your work Vewn, excited to catch this so early!
This is like my favourite style of animation I've ever come across, not only the literal style in which it is drawn, but the very essence of what is conveyed through this medium by vewn, the artist. Speaks to me like nothing else, creds to everyone involved, honestly
I love the feeling, pace, commentary, and aesthetic of your art
Glad to see your beautiful works again you always inspire me so Im glad you came back ❤
Man, I'm loving the Bad Kids Stuff series.
I think it was a prequel too
the ending is the disguises for the first bad kids
it's a prequel, the description says "the origin story"
Not sure if you’ll ever read this, but thank you, vewn. Thank you for your art and animations.
I've been feeling down about my living situation, lack of a job, and general state of the world for the past several weeks, and the places I'd normally turn to for happy escapism weren't working as well as they used to.
Watching your videos has reminded me that it's okay to admit that the world sucks. Because sometimes, it is just comically unfair. Thank you for reminding me that I don’t have to act numb to it all the time. Lowkey I think these videos have helped me with trauma I didn’t even know I had.
So yeah. Thanks.
Committing identity fraud after being innocent because the overwhelming no evidence piles against you, yeah. This was great vewn! Always a thought-provoking and emotional treat that I deal with for days after you upload something, thank you 😌
You are quickly becoming my favorite artist and filmmaker.
The animation and visuals are like those places in dreams I can feel it through your video
You deserve no less than a team, lotsa money and a series of your own for adult swim or something, you're truly great! ❤❤
"you know you can't go back to your old life"
"that's okay my old life kinda sucked anyway"
*felt that deeply*

Perfect lines ever
vewn is really sublime and i love it
The digital world as you portray it is just what it's going to be in 2 years, give or take. The amount of autonomy law enforcement agents have is also hilarious.
this was so much fun, so stylish! so specific! immense props
the "Okay you literally cannot do that" bit sent me. I love all your animations but this one being a bit more on the humorous side was nice. Youre easily one of my favorite animators
I can't wait for the 3rd "Bad kid Stuff" video :)
